From when we arrived we had a very good welcome
The bar was lovely bar staff were very helpful
Room was just what we needed
Food was nice for a meal
Breakfast was spot on service great
Parking bit of a pain but this is a Richmond thing and not Turf Hotel
We will return and if we get same service we will be Happy

Had a lovely 2night stay at the turf hotel,whilst seeing my sons pass out.very friendly staff,room pleasant and clean,had everything you need in it.lovely hotel/pub.Breakfast was very nice.would stay again.

Friendly atmosphere from locals and staff. Traditional UK country pub. My room was great but may need a lick of paint to freshen it up. I will go back to the same pub/ hotel next time I visit the area. Great location for amenities and public transport, local shops etc. only tried the breakfast which was good other bar snacks and meals available.

Unfussy accommodation. It's clean and comfortable.
The staff are excellent and super friendly with a big Yorkshire welcome waiting for you. They're also unobtrusive and want you to feel at home.
Excellent place to stay at a very reasonable price point.

On reaching Richmond during our Coast to Coast walk we Popped in to The Turf hotel for a beer and a bite to eat, Hannah was very welcoming and looked after us brilliantly the food was very nice and the beer went a treat ?

It was a visit for a function in the function room. Service was good, and the staff were pleasant enough. Food was good.

One of the dirtiest rooms I have been in. I did not know, I had to share a bathroom and shower that were both dirty and uncleaned. We were told that no one else was staying at the hotel, but there was. I think another 3 rooms were occupied. And any of the pub visitors could gain access to the bathroom. (I could hear the bathroom doors opening and closing a lot) The one bedside table was very badly damaged. There was an ironing board in our small room.
The TV was on the wall at 90 degrees to the bed. The waste bin next to the sink had not been emptied. We were told we had to go to a different hotel to get our breakfast, and had to be there before 9am as the kitchen is closed at 9am. A half mile walk in the rain to get your breakfast, is not the best way to start your day. On the Friday lots of blue bags, I think laundry bags, were left outside and along the passage walkway. No safety measures were considered when these were dumped here.
We would have left that hotel, but our circumstances and trying to book another place at short notice was considered. My wife was so stressed and upset, I have never seen her in that state before.
Parking: Parking is by a disc displayed in car. It's free, BUT it's only 2 hours

Excellent friendly service and good value for money, photo doesn?t do the food we ordered justice but it was very tasty and definitely worth doubling up on the burgers ?
