Lovely food and a great selection of drinks which can all be enjoyed in the fab beer garden!

The George & the Dragon really deserves its CAMRA No.1 status. Not only was the beer incredible but the barman Alex was an absolute legend.
Given you're on the absolute edge of the Dales here, he effortlessly ran a bar that in London would?ve needed 10 people.
Brilliant pub, great atmosphere, and service you don?t forget.

Cracking pies! I had the steak and ale with a pint of funkadelic IPA and my wife had the rabbit pie followed by a piece of Parkin. very tasty indeed and well worth the walk from Richmond.

Beautiful location. True friendly welcome, not an overbearing 'corporate hello' - just a proper, personal, friendly service.
Was very surprised to discover two Vault City beers on tap (if you've never their stuff, you're missing out!), amongst a lot of other fine looking beverages.
If you arrive by bicycle, you can take your steed round the back via the side gate.

Excellent, very friendly pub! Beer is great and we enjoyed the best Sunday lunch we have had in a long time. There is also a lovely terrace with great views. Who could ask for more than all that!

This pub serves good honest homemade pies, the beer is excellent and there is a huge choice, something for everyone. The views are lovely. I would recommend this pub.

The pub is in Hudswell, 2 and half miles from Richmond, North Yorkshire.
Warm welcome to the George & Dragon pub; and we arrived as doors was opening. Hubby and I had lunch outside as it was a a beautiful day & lovely views. Can only eat on tables on top tier if eating outside. Quite a few people came in at 12pm. Relaxing atmosphere.
I had the pulled prk& bbq sauce roll with chips and colslaw( couldof done with a bit more bbq sauce),& my hubby had the same but with cheese and pickle. Both cost £18 reasonable price. I tried cask ale for the first time, Ruby mild, a coke and lemonade cost £6 reasonable again.
There are steps to enter the pub.
A nice pub, I will go back again when I'm next in the area.

We were there in 2012, and it was the highlight of our trip to Yorkshire. The food, room, and atmosphere were excellent. And walking to the lovely River Swale was so much fun.
I don't remember what we spent for food. I'd love to go back some day.

The best selection of craft ales I've seen in a long time. The bar tender was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There was simply too much to choose from. I can't comment on food as it wasn't being served when I visited, but as a pub, I would highly recommend the George and Dragon.

Lovely little pub, with great food, and friendly staff.
Dropped in for a late lunch while visiting Middleham and Richmond castles. 2 of us had pies which were amazing and I had a vegan burger which was delicious. All freshly cooked, great value for money.
Good selection of ales, including no/low alcohol, and they do coffee in a little french press for one ?
Staff were lovely and friendly. Highly recommend paying it a visit.

Absolutely fabulous, from the welcome through the beers to the excellent pies, cheese and onion for me, rabbit for my partner. Great value and really great service. I don't review often but this was really worth a mention.

Wow. Hopefully the photo does the Sunday Lunch justice as it was absolutely beautiful and a bargain for the quality. Only down side is we were only passing through and won't be able to return anytime soon
