Reasonable prices. Lovely food - highly recommend the Sunday lunch and jam roly poly. Only downside was the large number of flies buzzing around inside where we were sat.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices in a traditional pub in Yorkshire. Friendly staff and good service make this a very enjoyable experience.

Good location when visiting Reeth, however, we found the bar staff serving us quite miserable and very unpolite towards us.

The pub sign of the Black Bull in Reeth is upside down as a form of protest against the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority by a previous landlord, Bob Sykes. He was in a dispute with the Authority over exterior renovations, specifically the removal of render to expose the original stonework. The Authority demanded the render be replaced, and in defiance, Sykes painted the pub as instructed but turned the sign upside down. The sign remains upside down to this day, serving as a reminder of the incident.

Eaten here a few times now and every time it has been lovely food, really good home favorite?s. Staff are welcoming and it?s great value for money. It?s a lovely pub, one of our favorite?s.

Great ale, interesting pub, lovely staff and tasty food.
And then it is in Reeth.
What is there not to like.
Thank you.

We came here for dinner at the start of our holiday and the place has a lovely atmosphere, nice food and live music. What more do you need in a traditional Dales pub... Highly recommend

We didn't stay at the pub, but we were in most nights over the stay of our holidays in Reeth. The pub is lovely and VERY old. It has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The staff we very pleasant and helpful. The beer garden at the back is very nice, the flowers look so nice. We did have chips and gravy, the onion rings were to die for they were lovely. All in all we enjoyed our evenings in your pub with our border collie Khaleesi.

We ate twice at the restaurant; we didn?t stay at the hotel. The food was fresh and delicious, and the beer/ale/cider selection was perfect. The staff were very accommodating to us and our two young children. I would suggest calling or emailing a few days in advance, as seating is limited in the pub area.

The only thing I would recommend about the Black Bull is the location the beer and food were okay but expensive for pub grub and watch out for the 10 per cent
service charge. Never known that in a Yorkshire pub before.
