Didn't stay but visited the restaurant a couple of times, great food, one of the best in the area I'd say, really large gardens at the rear too

We stayed at the Buck on a bed and breakfast basis. I couldn't praise it highly enough, we were welcomed and looked after from start to finish. Serves food on a Sunday afternoon evening which is very unusual in upper swaledale where the local custom appears to be to fast they also serve food on a Monday. If you aren't into fasting come here for a great value meal.

Our ethos is to provide, comforting hearty food, washed down with local cask ale and to offer a place to rest for the night.
We believe you shouldn’t have to book a table in a public house, therefore come and see us anytime from 12-8pm for food or until 11pm for drinks
