AVOID! Family 40th birthday meal and the food was the probably the worst meal we?ve ever had. Mince on the nachos were grey in colour and obviously frozen and reheated. The calamari for £8.50 for 3 rings of which 1 was burnt and inedible. Mains were not much better, 4 fish and chips which were OK, but the steak pies were reheated and served with veg which was cold in parts and frozen mush, with anaemic pastry. The kids bolognese were from the same frozen mince and an awful grey colour. Plus being overcharged for the wine

Very disappointing. Ordered some calamari in panko breadcrumbs which was frozen and not panko breadcrumbs! They gave you a grand total of 3 calamari for £8.50! Nacho?s were okay, however the quality of the mince was low. Mains were also poor. 2 people had the pies with cold dry pastry and cold veg. Fish and chips were edible but not great. Kids had spaghetti bolognese which was very watery and grey - our 10 year old turned her nose up at it straight away. £6.70 for a pint of Peroni and nearly £5 for a cask ale is London prices! Would not return or recommend.

Had a great weekend here with the walking gang. A wonderful pub, good beer, and my room was clean, large and had a huge bath !And thanks to Tracey for taking care of us so well at breakfast time.

Super home cooked meals, super beer, super service, lots of character in the bar and in the dining rooms. Well worth a visit!

Thurs 7th Oct 23. Mid walk and found this pub closed for lunch, but open from 5pm. All lights on and ale deliveries out back, but not allowed in. Found out later the guy is leaving. So maybe call in advance if this is on your route for refreshment stops

Visited The Bridge Inn while staying in the area, The bar is very well stocked with a good selection of local ales as well as branded drinks, the Staff were very polite, welcoming and friendly, although we didn?t have a dog with us, this is a pet dog friendly venue, definitely worth a visit if in the area.Food & drinks: Good selection of local beers and ales as well as more well known branded drinks.

Food and service second to none. Would highly recommend a bite to eat here. We had 3 different dishes and none disappointed.Nearby activities: Plenty of biking trails and viewsWalkability: It's the place to refuel after a day walking the local trails.

Called in for tea after walk with dogs nice dog friendly place beer was great but food was very poor wife had scampi which was cold I had steak pie meat was ok but pastry looked like it had been cooked earlier and reheated and placed on top was dry and tasteless veg tasted like it had been stewing all day paid nearly £ 30 just for food felt ripped off

Lovely cosy place, we were made very welcome. We were booked in to the bottom bar for 6pm. The food was lovely, we had steak and ale pie and fish and chips and everything was delicious. The waitress who served us was so courteous and polite, a credit to the pub. If I had a complaint, the wine was awful and pricey. X
