The most horrific experience at this Costa. The manager was so rude and had threatening behaviour! Will never go to this Costa again. Looking at the previous reviews looks like she needs to change jobs!

manager need to sort her self out if a PAYING customer asks for help you are there to help not just say that's the code when they have said it's not working no wonder people stop going cause of her Julie and when you try to complain to a member off staff about it she starts telling me to leave cause she wasnt happy I was telling her staff to retrain her

The worst customer service I have ever seen, tables dirty staff look at you as an inconvenience. I regularly use Costa coffee but I will never give them my money again. Looking at other reviews I?m not alone if this was my company I would be sending all staff on a customer service course or to job centre

Personally I don?t find the managers customer service to my liking. I find her to be patronising sometimes. It?s like she?s talking down to you. Food and drinks are fine and other staff members have been very friendly and helpful.

Just been in and had nice relaxing cuppa. In a nice clean and friendly environment. There was also the added bonus of no moronic idiots creating a fuss or been rude and abusive towards the staff. If you don?t like the place simply don?t go there. Plenty of other places you can spend your money in.

Unfortunately the redcar costa (regents walk) looking tired outside and inside just looks run down ? used to always enjoy going in for coffee/ lunch but put off now by the environment. Staff are nice and sure do their best regarding appearance of interior but can only do so much. Invest in environment, as some of the new cafes have in redcar.

Best coffee and breakfast service I?ve had in Redcar at 0700 on a Saturday morning! Think some should moderate their previous feedback? Maybe it?s been acted on now by staff?

I realise that today is Christmas Eve however was very disappointed with how I was spoken to about my drinks order three drinks a baby chino asked for whole milk was given semi-skimmed when I asked if it was at kids temp I was told that I should of asked at the till I did actually ask at the till it?s a brand standard to set it to 100 not full temp at 160 the double espresso was very bitty and felt like I?d been spoken down to by the manager sorry for a bad review but felt it nessesery the couple next to us also got talked down to and I have put in a complaint to the head office

Excellent coffee and snacks served by well trained baristas, who create a relaxing atmosphere.
My husband and I visit this store almost daily and have always been made to feel welcome.
Julie the manager runs a well oiled business and in my opinion, this is by far the best Costa in the area.

We have been going in 3-4 days a week since we moved to Redcar 5 years a go. Never had any problems. Great friendly staff they know what we order when we go in. Julie is a great manger always goes out her way for everyone. Lovely and clean and great atmosphere. Thank you for the fantastic service from you all. Best coffee shop in Redcar

I have just received the worst customer service I have ever received from the manager of the Redcar branch (Julie). Due to getting herself flustered and her unsuccessful management of her staff, she ended up acting irrationally towards me, the paying customer. So much so that other customers spoke to her about her inappropriate behaviour, and even her staff could see how bad her customer service was and were apologetic towards me for her behaviour. When I first arrived I was told by Julie that my usual order of a Salted Caramel Cappuccino (something I get on an almost daily basis from other Costa branches) was not available as they didn?t do Salted Caramel Cappuccinos even though they had the syrup on the counter. At a mild comment from myself after orders had been mixed up to say ?not sure if anyone knows what they?re doing?, Julie proceeded to blame the customers for not standing in the right queue order, when challenged she became defensive, suddenly told me she would refund my order as she ?didn?t need my negative attitude in her shop?.other customers spoke out to say that her behaviour was uncalled for at which she continued to profess about my bad attitude even when it was clear that the only attitude problem belonged to Julie. Due to the another customer calling out Julie?s behaviour, she then decided that I could have my refund and wait for my coffees. She then told me I had personally attacked her staff, after asking me to follow her around the corner to talk, and that I had raised my voice at her which was untrue. My actions remained calm, as can be attested to by the other customers coming to my defence over Julie?s poor behaviour. I have never been more thoroughly embarrassed or had such poor service from a Costa employee, let alone one who holds managerial duties.

In 30' heat!! Highs and lows. A window seat for 4, and dirty crockery removed as soon as we arrived. Fairly swift ordering but the process is flawed. One Cortado and One Iced Mocha, simples. (David Palmer). Our friends, are lactose intolerant, so additives need to be dairy free. I ordered a Cappuccino with Oat Milk and an Iced Coffee with Soya Milk. Waiting to collect our order, I got talking to the Barista. Checked the order as each drink was prepared. I confirmed the Oat and Soya Milks to which she responded, "there is nothing on the order"! A close shave, our friends could both have been made ill if I had not double checked... Hayling Seagoon

Costa Coffee in Redcar is a very smart branch of the chain with stylish decor and seating. Service was efficient and the coffee was as good as expected. In short - this is a comfortable and really nice branch.

Terrible experience and coffee. This WAS a nice costa coffee, many good visits, until the pandemic. The manager (Julie) is ruining the experience for customers. I?ve witnessed her constantly shouting at customers: ?step an inch to the left? ?you can?t sit there? ?do not move that chair.? Whilst everyone appreciates safety measures, this manager, in my opinion, has lost the plot! She made a lady move her chair literally an inch to the left so she was more against the window, to allow Uber drivers a clear run to the collection point! ????? Pointless. She should focus more on the terrible coffee her staff are producing, our coffees were freezing and I don?t remember ordering iced! Plenty of better priced alternatives with nice atmospheres in town. Will not be returning.
