Return policy ? shocking and staff lied
Refused to return a tv as we had opened the plastic bags with stand in ?
We had put the tv on the stand but realised the tv was too small ? we only purchased it 30 minutes earlier? and only wanted the next size up ..
The member of staff then said to us ?
Don?t try and return it to another Argos as she would let them all in the area know she had refused the return.
Very odd as she?d asked for no receipt or proof of purchase?. She made us feel even for spoke she?d made her mind up she was not returning it .
I did say to her ?. You don?t even know who we are or purchase details?
She the said ?.
We have CCTV??
Made us feel like shop lifters ?
I won?t be going back to Redcar Argos again

Awful customer service non existent staff rude and arrogant from the management down avoid this store at all cost

Spent nearly £200 on a purchase, bought the wrong thing in error, returned it to Redcar Argos less than 2 hours after picking it up and they will not accept the return. Called Argos customer service and they say they can't help because it's down to the individual store's discretion whether or not they accept a return. Dreadful store with dismissive and ignorant management, I had a very unpleasant experience over a genuine mistake. If you must shop at Argos choose your store carefully and avoid Redcar.

Staff are very iffy here. Travelled half an hour to get there to pick up an item that had already been purchased, was told to provide ID, yet no mention on the text or email to say I had to. When asking the staff the reason for this, I was told 'I just need it'. wasted an hour total in travel that day without the item. Came back the next day (so 2 hours in total travel) I was handed my item with no problems WITHOUT SHOWING ID, when questioning this I was responded to very defensively ' it's optional to ask IN OUR COUNTRY'. Don't know what she meant by that statement probably just racism, maybe they don't know how to react to a brown person? I don't know.

A standalone branch of Argos. I ordered a couple of devices on the Argos website for later collection. However, there had been an issue with their website and orders hadn't been processed. The staff in store were friendly, helpful and polite and went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Very helpful staff, nice store.

Argos isn't as cheap as it used to be and can only buy branded goods here although the range is expansive and are rarely out of stock. Very large items must be delivered.

do not buy any items from here because they will diffuse a refund and very rude managers and stuff to shocking customer service wood give it a first start at all

It's alright, they often have quite a lot out of stock which is a little annoying. I've not had many dramas here though. The staff are helpful and it's never crowded in there.
