Don?t assume the opening hours mean you can get a cooked meal. We turned up at 2pm on a Sunday (closing time is apparently 3pm) to be told the kitchen shut at 2pm.
We were right on the hour and I can?t see any mention of the kitchen closing time either here or on their own website. I understand the kitchen has to close at some point, but an hour before closing seems a bit keen.
I suppose you have to be in the door at least an hour and half before closing if you want something cooked.
As it happened they missed out on 6 meals. If this was my business, I?d be pretty disappointed about the loss of income.
Additionally annoying was that we had already paid to park.
Instead we went a couple of miles down the road to Cedarbarn farm shop & cafe - free parking, great shop, PYO, and two choices of eatery.

Ordered afternoon teas for a 70th birthday and caffe stop did amazing. Really well presented, good food, great cakes. Went down a treat. Will definitely be returning for more afternoon teas!

Called in for a coffee on Thursday while waiting for a shop to open I wanted to visit, Coffe was really nice, staff pleasant, on the out the owner had a tray of home made sausage rolls, as an ex Butcher with a Nakery and Deli, I spoke to him and said proper home baked, do you do
Pork Pie with meat chunks, with that he sliced two portions for me and a friend, beautiful like I used to make,
If in Pickering you definitely need to call in
What a generous gentleman he is and deserves anybody?s custom.

Nice and central parking right next to cafe
All types of food
Cost you about £10 for breakfast and cappuccino
All fresh produce and nice sausages bacon beans proper tomatoes grilled lovely
Have loads of cakes aswell vegan ect definitely recommend

went in 2 weeks ago poss different staff.i commented to staff how good breakfast was.went in today.cleaned toilet before use.then sat down with partner.who said waitress said be back in minuit.they didn't appear .we waited.my partner said they looked couple times.but still no one came.so we walked out and went to another cafe chippy.wont go or recommend as I had previously.very sissapointed

We ordered an afternoon tea box for two for my son and his two friends. We asked if it could be made without salad and more 'simple' as you know what teenagers are like! Cafe Stop did amazing and catered to our needs perfectly. Such lovely staff that can't do enough for you. I would recommend this place for all occasions and can't wait to use them again. Thank you so much!

Been here lots of times with local scarborough scooter riders.
Its a great cafe. Good location. Good food with outdoor seating but theres a battleaxe who lives in a flat above the cafe who has nothing better to do than hang out of the window and whinge about motorcycles parking and noisey engines. Our group often spend £50 per visit on coffees and breakfast. The woman is a absolute pain so my advise is if your on a motorcycle either give this cafe a miss or park at thornton dale and walk there. Im not knocking a great cafe. But just feel sorry for the proprietors trying to make a living. ???
