“A fantastic, healthy, friendly, and peaceful asset for any small town. Pickering Book Tree is a MUST visit for our family when we come back to town.The children feel at ease just popping in and reading through a few books downstairs, and I can comfortably browse throughout the store knowing that they’re relaxed and safe. So simple, but very well thought through planning of space to have the children’s zone downstairs by the staff, and to be welcoming and comfortable for them. I know it wouldn’t work for all children to be relatively unsupervised while the parent browses the rest of the store, but for many it is a great solution for small families. “This is such a lovely toy shop; we were on holiday and decided to take a look inside on our way past. We were pleased we did, it had such an extensive collection. My youngest son was over the moon with his carebear (they had them all so it was difficult to choose!) My older son enjoyed looking at all of the lego sets.On our way out the lovely lady gave my children a complimentary lego city pencil case each, which they love; it was very kind indeed! Highly recommend!”
