Received a lovely warm welcome when we walked in, and invited to take a seat inside or outside - we chose a table on the back patio, with the sounds of the river playing in the back ground.
I chose an cream tea, which was lovely. The scone was fresh and tasty, the raspberry jam was amazing (the waitresses recommendation) and the clotted cream scrummy. The crockery was lovely.
The cakes in the cake cabinet looked amazing. And they were presented in a very different manner, which I liked a lot.
The highlight of our visit has to be Edie, the server. She was bright, cheerful, funny, and very happy to interact with two 'old' farts! ? ? The other staff were very pleasant too.

Great food, great service and great location, would highly recommend! We have 2 large dogs and felt very welcome with treats and a water bowl for them. The food was more like restaurant standard than cafe. A very pleasant meal sat next to a flowing river, perfect place to have lunch!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Wildings Riverside Cafe in Pateley Bridge, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff, whose exceptional service made our visit truly memorable.
The cafe is perfectly situated by the riverside, offering stunning views that create a serene and relaxing atmosphere. It's the ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. We were fortunate to have a sunny day, which made our experience even more enjoyable as we sat outside and soaked in the picturesque scenery.
As for the coffee, it was simply lovely. Rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed, it was clear that a lot of care goes into every cup. We also indulged in some delicious pastries, which paired wonderfully with our drinks. The menu offers a great variety of options, and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful.
Wildings Riverside Cafe is a true gem in Pateley Bridge. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee break or a leisurely meal by the river, this charming cafe has it all. I highly recommend a visit ? you won't be disappointed!

We had the most delicious lunch here on our walk to Pateley Bridge. Very good quality local food! Highly recommend the Yorkshire salami & ham platter, & the pea and mint soup with spicy chickpea sandwich. Topped it all off with a take away ice cream. This place is a gem!

Today we called in I had full English
I think it must have been cooked by a five year old bacon was completely overcooked crispy isn't the word the menu states house beans it's a weird combination of kidney beans more like a con carne anyway they were cold and tasteless definitely not worth the £14 price nice part of pateley bridge but that's the only positive I can walk away with really friendly staff it's a shame because we came here last year and food was gorgeous not sure what's happened anyway I won't be returning we complained and was told feedback will be passed on they offered us a free drink which we declined if they are cooking the bacon to the point of it's totally crispy they need to state that and that the house beans are not baked beans but some kidney bean concoction

This wildings riverside cafe is well worth a visit. It is in a lovely location by the river. The new owners are using environmental and sustainable local produce. Trout from a neighbouring farm, bread, pastries and cakes from a local bakery. They use courgettes instead of avocado. Less use of plastic using glass bottles and loose tea. There is a breakfast menu till 11.30 and then lunch from 12pm

Recently re-opened under new ownership, this is an absolute gem. We went for the burgers with chunky chips. Everything about it was top notch. The bacon atop the burgers(two patties) was gorgeous, as was the brioche bun and even the salsa and mayo. Real attention to detail. We will definitely be back and try something different from the menu.
The view if you sit outside is wonderful too.

Called in for an afternoon drink . Coffee was lovely with a delicious piece of homemade coffee and walnut cake .
Also had a refreshing drink of ginger and yuzu kombucha . Great healthy alternative to sugary sweet drinks .
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Recently renovated and 5 stars is not enough.
The staff were lovely and very accommodating. It is a dog friendly and child friendly cafe with a great relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is outdoor seating.
The coffee is some of the best I've had in the UK! Top job to the baristas.
My partner loved the eggs Florentine and myself, the full English. Eggs were cooked perfectly on all counts.
This place needs a visit!
Vegetarian options: From breakfasts to ice creams, there were veggie and vegan options.

We didn't eat, as we had earlier on our journey, but it all looked lovely and folks around us were very pleased. The place had a "proper" tea room ambience of home-made, cared-for quality.
