“The Building society is well placed on the high street and has a large glass front. There are a couple of steps up into it which may be awquard for the less able or wheelchair users. The premises are light and airy and there is a childrens playtable at the front in the window which there are usually pens and paper on so that the children can play in safety whilst you do your banking. There are two cashiers usually serving and you don't usually have to wait more than a few moments to be served. They have a variety of competetive accounts and the staff are friendly and professional without being pushy. You feel that you are given time to do your transaction without being rushed.”

“The Skipton building society is ideally placed in the centre of the main High street in Northallerton. It usually has poster displays in the window showing if there are any products on offer or any special savings rates available. As you enter you normally get a nice greeting. There are two cashier positions available and even if the assistants are serving they usually give you eye contact and a smile. Customers are usually dealt with quickly and effectively, but I feel that they try to give a personalised service. The staff are attentive and efficient and if there ever are any problems these are dealt with effectively. A pleasant banking experience.”
