The literal worst bank ever. There is never any staff about and when there is they are rude. The machines never work and you can never get a straight answer. Nevermind the awful ethics of Barclays as a company. I will be leaving this bank immediately and I regret ever opening an account with them.

Firstly now have to travel 3x as far which is costly now. Then theres the new 'rules' for transactions. Cant pay your baclay bills with CASH after 2pm! Cant use cash in a bank.. what a___e thought that one up? You cant get change from their machines or counter if need beforehand. Its a patchwork service now. I do hope their pilfering profits plument just as their stranglehold noose interest charges tightened around their years loyal customers. I still remember seeing men and women crying at the Northallerton Branch when they doubled the interest! Unless you're a wealthy client you are just fodder to the company. There are some nice individuals in the company and I hope they find somewhere better in the future. They wont care about you either.

Clunky. No customer service. Appointments required weeks in the future for fairly simple requests. Awful.

Been with Barclays for years, sadly the changes they are making with reducing counter service , using the automatic machines which don?t except coin donations are causing a lot of annoyance. Not everyone can get to the bank before 2pm.Tried to get £30 in coins from them, you used to ask the lady at the counter who would take the money from your account then give it to you in £1 coins as requested. Now I have to withdraw the money from the ATM machine then ask to exchange the notes for coins?and they still need your bank details to this. Why the extra step?

Amazing service from the ladies in this branch. Very good at listening to needs and helping me out. Travelled from Darlington as didn't need an appointment unlike other branches. Got served quickly.

Not enough manned counters. The queue is out the door because the automated machines are either unpopular of not suitable for a wide enough range of tasks. Also, why do you open 30mins after most people start work and close 30mins before they finish? Where else in the service industry is this tolerated?

Went in on Saturday to prove my identity for my mortgage application which has all been conducted over the phone . After explaining to the senior lady as host on the branch floor what I needed doing (my mortgage profile updating with a positive id). She played with an iPad she couldnt unlock, she then spoke to what looked like a member of management who wasn't intrested, took photo copies of my personal ID and a private bank statement. Then said we will stamp them and send them off. I left in totall disbelief. Fully expecting what I needed completed was not and wouldn't be done.

Queues are horrendous and self service machines are a waste of time!
