We enjoyed Cafe Valeria's fortnightly pizza night yesterday and it was truly wonderful. A well thought out menu that keeps things simple (very Italian!) but also provides great choices. The pizzas are delicious and authentic and the lemon meringue canolli was perhaps one of the best deserts I've ever tasted. A perfecto coffee to round it all off. Shout out to George for seamlessly and conscientiously shifting through the roles of waiter, chef and barista. We will be back soon!

Friendly atmosphere and staff (George is great!) - delicious pizzas, great place for children if eating early. Worth a visit!

Proper Italian style cafe with good coffee and selection of cakes and paninis. Short distance from York and excellent for the bike coffee stop. I'll be back.

The best coffee by far. Just had a Danish pastries, home made. Melted in the mouth. Nice kind service and not felt rushed. Great price too.

First time for pizza night, what a treat. Starter is to die for, pizza, so packed with flavour and filling and the tiramisu, I have never had one like it, delicious, already planning next trip. Make this a must every time. Take out or sit in, worth a visit. George is a gem.

Only just discovered this place, and what a treat that was.
Proper coffees, panninis and those sweet desserts snacks. Oh those sweet sweet snacks.
I'll be back soon, just for a bag of those snacks to take home. Just right after another coffee and a cheesy panini :)

What a Gem of a place. Enjoyed a couple of coffees in this wonderful little shop. The perfect place to sit and read whilst enjoying a drink or two. Great service and lovely staff. Definitely will be visiting again.
