(No hand towel or floor towel considering its a tiled floor !!)Breakfast includedThe room is a keypad entryProbably wouldn't stay again due to the size of the room .

The security and staff were helpful (although i called and asked about parking and was told i can just park no need to do anything and later on when i came to ask for wifi key i saw the screen by the reception and realised i need to reg on entry) - Beware **Parking Eye runs it.Noisy loud voices, banging and chatter near the room till midnight.Room well aired but took a long while to warm upAll appeared clean until you go nearShower flow was slow and did not quite heat up (tepid)Shower surround, tap edges etc were caked with gelatinised black mouldI almost went back out for bleachHad to shower again long and hard when i got back to my baseEeewwBath towel was inadequate for the bath needed twoKettle and plug was placed 6ft above ground (rather odd) if you plan to make tea and you?re vertically challengedGood supply of tea and coffee but nothing for non caffeine drinkersIf the bath taps have black mould or even if not potable water is a must in rooms. I brought my own bottled water thankfully, otherwise no way would i fill the kettle from a tap where if you touch the rims the black slimy stuff comes off on your hands. The bedding made me itch (dustmites/bad washing powder) not sure what it was but i brought my own bedding as backup so i relaid the bedBedside lamp was not working and the plug for it was strange (if it needs all that cabling and plug converting then hardwire them in using a junction box and just leave switch out or pegged to bedside)Breakfast, cook eager to please, no eggs, had lots of mushrooms and beans , limited for non pork eaters but hot and good value, plus after a few tries the cook finally understood that I wanted hot water since the options were tea, coffee or tea and or coffee ie nothing else. The orange juice was a high fructose corn syrup variant, no no no, concentrate is not that expensiveOn my way back after breakfast, i saw a cleaning tray loaded with what just had to be the grubbiest and darkest shades of grime on cleaning cloths in the hallway. I spent the entire day wondering is that what they clean the kitchen with, the loos, the taps ahhh ? ?A day before they sent me some strange declaration thing asking me to pay a £50 damage deposit and it came with a long list of if you smash this, if you smear that, if you break this if you destroy that blabla which gave me anxiety because I started to wonder if the hotel only lodges savagesButI refused to pay or hand over my card details and responded to them to say I will not be paying a deposit and if the hotel only attracts vandals and trouble i would like my money back so I book elsewhere after all Travelodge, Leonardo?s, holiday inn, offer rooms with peace at similar price points.Prices are higher than should be given the economic area and higher than nearby bustling citiesWifi- worked well but since the lamp didn?t work i couldn?t readButs-If the parking arrangements involve a ritual and- there is a wifi code and- breakfast is at fixed timesAndthe hotel urges pre checkin by whatsapp so we have contactless checkinTell customers about it by WhatsAppFinally,?.. someone thought it was a good idea to bang furiously on my door at 1045 yet check out was 11amI was in the loo and half dressed and i had to stay there a while not knowing if someone had entered the roomThat kind of sealed it for meSo,?Overall I would have said 3.5 stars given i booked OYO with trepidation and when i finally found the building I expected to walk away feeling hampton by hilton but with all the above well it was already skirting 2 so The 3 is for the staff helpfulness.Would i come againMaybe to see the snakey lights that don?t work ? or check if the bedding is no longer itchy ?and find out if they have cleaned the black mould (public health hazard that is) ?and explain the kettle being plugged 6ft above ground ??Yes? it?s a no.NB: not sure exactly why hotels in Teesside have hiked their prices above market points given the locality is not economically bustlingStrange reallyRooms: Rooms well aired on arrivalBathrooms need deep cleaningFixtures need fixingTea facilities organ

There was only one towel between 3 of us! The curtains don't fit the windows, so the light came through. The wardrobe was away from the wall wasting space in the room! We weren't told breakfast times, so when we went down, it had finished,so bed and breakfast was only a terrible bedroom.

This was a last-minute booking . I paid over £100 for a room! The room was cold, and the curtains didn't fit properly, and the wardrobe stood away from the wall. I had to go down in the morning for towels as there were none in the room. To then be told breakfast had finished. Would certainly not visit again, I'd rather sleep in the car!!

This is my first time writing any hotel review, but I feel compeled to do so because of the condition that I am experiencing right now. We are a group of 7 staying in 5 rooms. The room that I got had a strong unpleasant smell unpon opening the door. So, I was given another room, but there are two dead bees on the floor. The one that I am staying in right now barely has any hot water from the shower and the water pressue is so low that it is almost impossible to take a shower. And it is not just my room, the other rooms also have very weak water pressure. My room is very small but it has a huge double bed in it that prevents the door of the closet to fully open. There is not enough floor space to fully open a suitcase without blocking myself or the entrance.Other rooms have very illogical arrangements of furniture. For example, two chairs face a blank wall but the TV is mounted next to the chairs, not facing them.Having said that, the staff had been attentive to our requests and the breakfast was good.

Very attentive and friendly staff. Very convenient for the university. Breakfast is good quality and there is an excellent restaurant directly across the road. Comfortable rooms with digital TV, tea and coffee facilities. Ample parking.

Was a one off stop short stop for a family event for us. Normally stay at Premier Inn, but this was available and cheaper. Lovely old building on the outside hides a modern open and welcome inside. Reception clean and spacious, and staff keen to help with any questions. Key system took a moment to get used too, but once grasped the no key keypad worked well. Room was spacious and clean, no carpet but hardwood flooring throughout, (if that's an issue for some). Beds very comfy and bathroom big enough for us (shower only), room provided towels, and toiletries and staff quick to help if anything missing. Kettle was strangely placed but not an issue. Breakfast was buffet style and lovely and again staff always on hand making sure you had enough tea or toast.Only down side was wall sockets in room, strangely missing part covers, and bedside lights not working (lights not an issue just noting down), however if you have kids, they are bound to stick something into the electric socket gaps, just cos they can.Overall, lovely stay, very relaxing.Would I come again, absolutely yes, lovely place, relaxing, nice garden area for evening chill out before bed.Food & drinks: Only stayed for breakfast but buffet was hot and tasty, fresh drinks and plenty tea and toast
