Eye test fine but extremely disappointed when choosing frames. Buy one get one free is a joke. 129 pound frames when choosing 2 the total bill came to over 200 pounds when inclusion of lenses which you end up paying for twice opted for 1 set of frames to keep the cost down. Told member of staff that I did not want any special type of lenses but was told ultraclear lenses were standard at a cost of 35 pounds. Website states reactive lenses are free but in store told they would cost 59 pounds. Will be very reluctant to purchase glasses from them again

Great service in the branch, but very poor quality glasses. Have been back to the shop twice to have glasses straightened . Occasional use and the are very flimsy.Reviewed poorly due to the product and not the service. Won't be using again .

I have always found the service excellent.the staff very kind and helpful.i have just got a pair of bifocal glasses and the. Staff talked me through the different stages I would go through until I got used to them after a few weeks there are perfect.i went I n last week to get them tightened and it was no bother to them great service

Optician was lovely, said my eyes hadn't changed much so when I went out to the desk I needed new glasses... I only ordered one pair as I thought the others were okay and I had a second pair anyway. I organised for them to be posted out, they I was assured would arrive by the following Monday, in the meantime I broke my spare glasses frame so ordered another pair as part of the package. I had a dreadful time trying to get through to anyone, promised call back never came, called again eventually I was put through to the store ordered the second pair. I mentioned when I had my eyes tested that we were going on holiday and needed at least the first pair before the 22nd of September. I called again as no glasses had arrived and was informed that they had been posted out on the TUESDAY and I would definitely get them. On the 25th our daughter called at our house and there was a note that the glasses - both pairs - had been left near our bins to the rear of our house. It's a good job she came as they were placed where when our neighbour put our bins out they would have been run over by the wheels. Needless to say I will not recommend Coulby Newham branch to anyone. Disappointed with the aftersales service to say the least.

Such a huge company which pride them selves on quality and service can't even sort there phone lines so they are working correctly. Options that don't work and then when you 1st in queue the line disconnects.
