Had lunch here yesterday. Really friendly and helpful staff behind the bar. Food was good value and was nice, not the best I've ever had but certainly better than most and something I'd be happy to have again. The chips in particular were really nice and taste even better than they look.
The only downside for me and this is mostly a one off but their was no atmosphere. This is partially due to it being a lunchtime but it was also because their was some drilling work going on in the gents toilets and the noise was a bit intrusive and off-putting whilst I was eating. As I say, a one off I'm sure but was annoying enough to be mentioned.
Overall good place though and I wouldn't let the atmosphere issues put me off return visits.

Excellent carvery, Sundays and Wednesdays, will be returning. It does get busy early doors.

I usually go here during lunch time at work. Everything is home cooked traditional pub food. The chips are extremely tasty and the gravy is amazing.

Great place for live music. Good beer selection. I have never eaten here but have been when it's doing food and it seems pretty popular.

We had drinks all night from 7pm until we were turfed out just before midnight. Staff are great and really efficient. A new starter (?) was soon upto speed with my complex beer order (Deuchars IPA), and she gave a fantastic smile by the close.
The band was excellent to the degree that we were all up and about bopping away.

Called in for Sunday dinner cause we'd read it is dog friendly. Top carvery we were all full up, and never left a crumb, and our little billy was treat to his own bowls of meat and water off the very friendly chef. We will definatley be coming back ??

Early evening visit with a choir, made to feel very welcome and service was quick considering how many people were in.

Food was horrible had mince pie. Both separate so can't really call it a pie. Was way too salty potato was bland . Not nice at all
