Good choice of new vinyl and CDs upstairs. Downstairs is new DVD's and blue rays at decent prices. Staff are extremely helpful. Best in Boro!???

The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. They had what I wanted and got it for me so I didn't have to hunt the store for it.

Had a lovely experience after work, went into HMV to shop for my brother?s birthday. Unfortunately I did not get the name of the person who went through a list of things to check if they had them. Nothing on the list was in stock (it happens, not an issue!) so we found a few other vinyls anyways!
I was then served by a lovely person at the tills who recognised my hoodie and honestly, little things like that really make my day :)
From my receipt it says served by an Aimee, so if that is you, thank you!

this shop is amazing and as a cd collector it sucked a lot of my money during my college years. some really cool stuff on offer too and the staff are so nice and always checking for stock. only reason i haven?t rated this 5 stars is because i keep seeing my chemical romance under metal in this particular shop- in other hmv?s ive visited they?re correctly under rock and pop! if you guys can follow suit that would be great, because i know mcr when i hear them and they?re not metal in the slightest

Overal great place I love HMV the staff are Friendly and probably the only place to get physical media in store these days which I love im a massive HMV fan and will always support you but that past few times coming to Middlesbrough store one thing has quite annoyed me the reason is I'm not giving 5 stars because the access to the 4K blu Ray's and DvDs is blocked off most evenings when I visit and I come all the way from Darlington for that section because there is alot more choice here maybe more staff needed or trust your loyal customers to be downstairs on there own ???
