Moors Inn is located in a picturesque village, a delightful peaceful place to stay. Our room was immaculate, cozy, comfortable and well equipped with toiletries, good selection of tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits. Our breakfasts and evening meal were superb. All staff were friendly, attentive, providing a great service. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening drinks in the bar with village locals and other staying guests. Everyone very pleasant and friendly.
We will definitely stay again.

I?m visiting the UK from overseas and came to the Moors Inn twice during my time here.
The food is absolutely delicious, such a good feed. There are plenty of starters and main meals to choose from, a good selection of drinks, and also plenty of selection for desserts.
I can?t fault this place at all, and I can fully understand why it is loved and recommended by locals and people staying in the area.
When I visit the UK again, I?ll be back for sure.

This is our second stay at the Moors Inn. We found it when we dropped in for lunch 3 years ago. The food is really fantastic - very much high end pub standards, with some surprises thrown in along the way. The staff are very welcoming and make you feel really at home. The rooms are great, again very high end pub standard, but the power shower is way above the normal offering - we'd love one like this at home! The views from the beer garden are stunning. Appleton-le-Moors is a wonderful place. Sheep wandering on the verges, and so quiet in the evening. The eight mile walk - that can start by stepping through the gate at the bottom of the beer garden - is absolutely superb. You're very quickly transported into a quiet rural world.
We've no doubt we'll be back again.

Excellent. Staff friendly, food and drink cock on love it. We have been going here for the last four years as a family get together of ten to twelve of us. Can't wait till next June ?

We found the Moors Inn some years ago and ever since we have been a number of time. It's a brilliant dog friendly Inn and the food is always fantastic. The pies are delightful.

We found The Moors for dinner last night.
Seated near the fire (not on thankfully) very cosy, busy with guests. Split dining area.
The food was lovely and the service from the young lad was very good.
Definitely worth a visit again and recommendation. Do go visit and try the excellent food.

Went for lunch with a friend on Wednesday (30 April) as a change from our usual meeting place, thinking it would be a treat for us both. My sea-trout was good, but my friend's acknowledged request for her steak to be served medium-rare went awry and it came well-done. Despite pointing this out at the time and again when presented with the bill there was no offer to rectify (by serving a correctly cooked steak or reducing the bill appropriately). My friend did not enjoy her over-cooked steak and in fact took half of it home for her dogs, a very expensive treat for them and a disappointing one for us.
