Very little information given when trying to open a savings account and certainly no advice, resulting in my opening an internet banking account, which is not what I wanted.As a pensioner and a former employee with Halifax Building Society and Halifax Financial Services, I was both shocked and disappointed with lack of customer care.I telephone the internet banking department and was then passed on to another department for savings who I found to bedisrespectful and patronising to the point where I asked to close the account.I was told I could not do that as I did n?t have another account with Halifax to transfer it to!When I suggested a cheque, he said that was not possible.

Very short opening hours and very long queues. If you work full time, you have no chance of being able to catch them open. Cant even be bothered to open on a Saturday morning now. Very poor indeed.

Always use this one, never let me down. In an ideal central location and free to use. Maintained regularly and clean area. The bin for unwanted receipts is also handy. You can also use the machines inside the bank for depositing cheques etc.
