We only had one night at this fabulous hotel but we will certainly be returning. Everything about our stay was excellent, Our room, the service, the staff and the lovely grounds. One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and we have certainly stayed in lots of hotels in this country and abroad.

My daughter had her wedding here in may 2023 everything was perfect the staff were excellent and very friendly a special mention for Paul for all your help in organising a very special day.

Lovely hotel great location.
Rooms are lovely and spacious along with very comfortable.
We did not walk much of the massive grounds due to wet weather, but the grounds are lovely.
Food and service was top notch, friendly helpful staff.

A beautiful hidden gem, my husband and stayed here for my husbands birthday overnight..we had the most fabulous time here.
From the moment we arrived the welcome from Paul was outstanding, such a lovely chap.
All the staff here go out of their way to make you feel special & comfortable.
Dinner was spectacular & the service from Charlie & Paul was amazing..keep up the good work guys.
The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, we had a beautiful room & spotlessly clean...if I could give you 10 stars I would very happy & we will be returning next October love it.

One night stay at start of October for 4 adults. Very impressed overall with standard of hotel and service. The staff were excellent and friendly.
Rooms: Furnishings etc. were of a very good standard. Obviously for an older building, there is the odd area for improvement in bedroom. A minor observation is just wallpaper a little tired in some small areas. However that would not deter us from booking again.
Nearby activities: Close to Whitby and in N.Yorks moors; so good views.
Noteworthy details: great garden/grounds and hotel well presented.

Rooms: We only had a standard room, not a suite, but it was comfortable and a pleasant room to spend time in.
Food and drinks: All the food we had in the 4 nights we were there was well presented, generous portions, with a different menu each evening. This was a godsend, as you can quickly run out of choices if the menu is the same every evening.

A superb stay at Grinkle Park. We had the ?skylark? room which was very spacious with splendid views.
Staff were exceptional, with nothing too much trouble. We were new to the area but reception told us the best places to visit etc think they were surprised when we came back to show off our fossil finds. We had a great time. Bar staff very friendly and helpful and food was delicious.

Have been to Grinkle Park a few times and again it was excellent.
Stayed 2 nights in Baysdale which overlooks the gardens and woods. Room was large with a sitting area and large bathroom.
Staff are very pleasant, very friendly and accommodating.
Food was excellent - never had a bad meal here.
Would definitely return.

Had a one night stay in a Deluxe room which included a 2 course evening meal, coffee/tea/ treats and breaky.
The choice for the meal was fairly limited, but both main meals, starter and desert were excellent, as was my cooked breaky. The staff whilst limited in numbers were excellent serving the food, and did not stop throughout the evening.
The room was a decent size, with a good selection of hot drinks and bottled water.
My only negative related to the drinks. I asked for a glass of white pino, but they only had Chardonnay by the glass and no other white wines at all which is disappointing in a hotel. In the end I asked for a glass of prosecco but at £8 for 125ml it wasn't cheap. You then need to add the service charge which I don't mind for food but do struggle a bit just for drinks, especially during the afternoon when it was difficult to find anyone for the bar.
We also enjoyed playing snooker, and found some games in the same room so had a game of scrabble after our evening meal.
In summary, a lovely hotel, great grounds, excellent food with extremely hard working staff, but limited wine on offer just took the edge away a bit.
