“Best Sunday lunch ever. We were a party of 5 and two well behaved dogs and they accommodated us in a little snug area, so it felt like a private dining experience. The staff were so lovely, friendly and very good at their jobs, food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.”

“Stayed over for one night, rooms really comfortable, beds comfy. Very warm. Breakfast was huge, great choice of buffet style and cooked. Ask for smaller portions if you don't eat much, haha”

“We came for a meal on Sunday evening for our wedding anniversary and it was faultless! The service was world class I’ve never felt more welcome and valued. Rabbit watching was a bonus from the window overlooking the garden. The sharing Camembert was glorious and very generously sized! Hubby said the steak pie was the best of his life and he’s hard to please. Lemon tart ❤️ heaven! Thank you for having us Dan & Paula ( elephant dress lady!)”

“We chose The Crown as the venue for our seniors villag outing from Kirkby Malzeard. There were twenty two of us and we used the big dining room. We had a truly admirable Christmas lunch; turkey with all the trimmings, and mince pies and wensleydale cheese to finish. The meal was beautifully home cooked with very generous portions. Clive served us all with his signature unhurried laid back style. All in all everyone had a really enjoyable time with delicious food. Many thanks to all at the Crown. This may become a yearly outing!”

“Never again..... dropped in at 4pm to see if they were serving food and we were told 6pm no mention of booking a table.Arrived back at 6 and after being told all the tables were booked , we quite happily sat in the beer garden ordered our meals at just before 6pm when food started, still waiting 50 mins later, which wouldn't have been so bad, but when we got it very disappointed, sausages tasteless, peas and carrots obviously from a frozen mixed bag and gravy like water , the only saving grace was the steak and kidney pudding my husband had. The staff were nice enough though.”
