A fairly small frontage gives way to a surprisingly large and well stocked town centre CoOp store.Update: Miserable female staff member on a Sunday morning couldn?t work out how their ?complex? electronic PoS system could interface with my newspaper subscription card and sent me away. (It?s a PayPoint card btw). A cheerful lady in the local ?One Stop? store 20 yards away had no difficulty however.

Good range of goods, fresh, frozen, canned and packaged. It has a mix of manned and self checkouts and there are both baskets and trollies available.There is also a variety of beers, wines and spirits.Parking is available in the market square, directly opposite the store.

On holiday here. Visited this Co-op clean and well stocked. I'm surprised mainly how EXPENSIVE ? it is. No competition.

Great local shop for picking up small groceries or a bigger shop. Great for offers like 2 pizzas and a pack of beer for £5. Staff are friendly and the store usually has a good amount of stock in all the time. They do house coal, kindling and logs of needed and a big frozen section too. As a bonus there is a post office at the back you can use aswell.

Well set out and good variety available and the best by dates were 5-6 days so plenty of choice of when to cook what .

Sadly the first bit of rude service I've had since arriving in Yorkshire. Till operator happy to chat to locals but I was told not to pack at the till but refill my trolley and pack from there. Thought that was unique to Lidl/Aldi.
