We went here to get a meal as was very close by. We wasn't greeted with a smile. Was told they didn't have any tables available all day. Went back and looked online and they did!! Wasn't impressed. We used Wheatsheaf instead 4 mins drive away.

We came for a meal on Sunday evening for our wedding anniversary and it was faultless!
The service was world class I?ve never felt more welcome and valued.
Rabbit watching was a bonus from the window overlooking the garden.
The sharing Camembert was glorious and very generously sized! Hubby said the steak pie was the best of his life and he?s hard to please.
Lemon tart ?? heaven!

I booked here expecting a warm friendly hotel with beautiful views from the photos.
Unfortunately in my opinion the hotel lacked personality and warmth from staff and decor. Food was overpriced for what was served.
Room was nothing special. There were a few gimmicky wireless charges etc in the room but nothing special.
Staff and owners couldn?t have shown less interest in their customers. I wouldn?t waste my time and money here again and unfortunately couldn?t recommend.

A great nights stay on the Dinner, Bed & Breakfast package. Our room (Richmond) was lovely with beautiful views. Dinner in Palmers was outstanding and breakfast just as good. Staff are helpful and friendly. Great welcoming atmosphere. Would love to return

We only had a meal here so cannot comment on the lodging. The food was excellent as was the service. The sticky toffee pudding was outstanding. The best we had in the Dales.

What's not to like here? The beds were comfortable, the rooms immaculately clean and fresh, the decor modern and really nice, the views from the rooms breathtaking, the food super tasty, and the landscape and scenery surrounding the hotel, out of this world! But what really made it a 10 for me was the staff! They were really brilliant! A special thanks to Steve, who was so helpful and just made my day! ?

Stopped here after visiting the falls for Sunday lunch. Absolutely delicious roast dinner. Accommodating for my 1 year old too. Very friendly waiting staff. Would visit again

Spent one night camping here and the grounds are great, really nice location. Toliets spotless and reasonable amount of space. I was the only one using the campsite therefore can't comment what's its like when full. Either way, highly recommend! I would say a bin nearer the campsite would be welcomed.

We only used the restaurant but it was brilliant. The service was amazing, the food was splendid and the atmosphere very fun.
Food and drinks: The food is expensive but you do get a lot for your money. Would recommend the pie of the day and the duck pate starter.

Had a meal in the restaurant here, its a gorgeous setting in a fantastic and historical building. Food was good (despite part of order being advised was unavailable after we had ordered) but service was a bit slow for our liking. Staff seemed more intent on clearing tables than serving people that were waiting.

Food and drinks: Good quality food with an interesting and varied menu. The staff, although busy, were helpful and friendly. We had a great meal with an amazing view of the Yorkshire Dales.
