Went to a nearby pup, our round cost £6.40. Came here it cost £10.70 . How do they justify the price increase. No wonder the other pub was busy and this one empty.. !

Really nice traditional pub, home cooked food not microwaved, really attentive team and asking are you ok often enough, Also dog friendly. Not a gastro pub but still got a feel of good wholesome cooked food, what you can expect from a local village tavern. Would recommend the Sunday mean

Sadly we went into this pub and immediately we were hit by a very questionable smell, from an unknown source. This was a shame because the menu looked great but we ended up having to leave after a few minutes :(Response: I can only comment on our experience which is detailed above sadly.

Fabulous roast pork crackling veg Yorkshire pud and gravy highly recommend though the wait was worth it. Friendly staff as well and good atmosphere

We visited on a Saturday night and weren't sure if there'd be room- thankfully we got a table. Dogs are allowed so we were all welcome.We had some drinks and a meal- my pie and mash was fantastic! The chef makes the pies from scratch and you can really tell. We'll definitely be back!

Brilliant service,Fantastic food, we had the steak and ale pie, came red hot and with a special touch of mushy peas and fried crispy onions on top,Home made chips.The Chef even made room for us by moving tables around to accommodate us,The whole experience was fantastic.
