We stayed a single night and would absolutely go back. It felt almost as if you were staying in the home of a wealthy land owner from a Jane Austen novel. Room was great and spotlessly clean. Staff were excellent, welcoming and professional.

We decided to book the Valentines package and we are so pleased we did. What a fantastic place this is.
We arrived deliberately early so we could have a good walk around the gardens before we checked in. The snowdrop displays are lovely and even on a cold February day it was a lovely walk around the gardens.
Then when we checked in we went to the room which was very spacious, nicely decorated, warm, comfortable, had a nice view of the garden, and a luxurious spa bath.
Downstairs there is a small bar area which is adjacent to a very comfortable and relaxing lounge or an equally comfortable, relaxing library. There's also a very nice outdoor seating area for warmer months.
The dining room is very nicely decorated and has a really nice friendly atmosphere and the dinner itself was exceptional. The staff were all really friendly and explained in great detail about each course as they brought it out and were very knowledgeable about the dishes they were serving.
Following a very comfortable night's sleep we went to the Orangery for breakfast. Again top quality food and very helpful and friendly service and great views outside.
We would have gone for another walk at this point but the weather had taken a turn for the worse so we relaxed in our room a while before checking out.
We enjoyed every single minute of our time here.
Without exception every member of staff was helpful and friendly the gardens and wider views are amazing, it's a lovely building, in a perfect location and is very well run.
It's the type of place you could literally just check into for 2 or 3 days to just chill and relax here without the need to go anywhere.
I can't recommend this place highly enough thank you for a very special Valentines treat.

Goldsborough Hall is an absolutely stunning backdrop for a wedding! I absolutely love photographing weddings there, it's super local to me and the backdrop is also a photographers dream. You really don't need to spend ages away from your wedding party having photos taken, because there's such a delightful variety of backdrops! The team are always lovely and I can also confirm the food is always delicious!

We had the set lunch which was 5 courses of truly delicious food. Often ambitious it?s a bargain for the quality. We had a walk around the beautiful gardens before sitting down where we could see our lunch growing!
My only quibble was the strangely stilted service as it to a long time to get drinks when we were the only table in there.

Had a truly wonderful experience while staying at this hotel for one night on a dinner & breakfast special offer ?
While the room was a bit tired and in our opinion was in need of a refresh the overall quality of service and especially the tasting menu food was absolutely delicious and a true work of art.
I would also highly recommend the pairing wines with each course, while not cheap they certainly complement the food courses extremely well.
Highly recommended for all lovers of amazing food and service ???
