Wow wow WOW!!! What an absolute hidden gem of a hotel. Booked last minute to escape reality for a night and for the price didn?t know what to expect. An absolutely stunning hotel in the most beautiful little village. The hotel is stunning, cozy, modern and exceptionally clean but still keeping that cozy pub charm. The food was unbelievable, huge portions of pure perfection, even the chef Stephen came out and personally asked if everything was ok for us, our little dog was given a sausage too which made his day. What made it even better was the outstanding service we received from all the staff, from the second we walked in to when we left. Stephen, Loz and Will (I didn?t catch the other staff members name) thank you for making us feel at home and welcome, you are all an absolute credit to The New Inn. Currently looking to come again and we can?t wait. Can?t recommend enough.

Stayed for a night recently while visiting White Scar caves. Fabulous place to stay. Staff really pleasant and helpful. Stayed with my wife and granddaughter in a family room, tons of space and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Great stylish and cosy pub in a gorgeous village. We just popped in for a drink. The staff were really welcoming, the fires were lit and the beer was cheap.Nearby activities: Walk to Ingleborough caves and mountain nearby

Stayed last weekend for the Saturday night.Found the place by chance on line and so glad we did.Great room and nice warm!Relaxed and very friendly. The food was amazing. A great menu that had the traditional but also the unusual - a chicken schnitzel in Yorkshire! Who would have thought. But by god it was good. And the breakfast in the morning was to die for. Hot, quick and plenty of it along with a great buffet selection.Service during all our stay was brilliant. The young guy in the restaurant was brilliant the whole time and he has a great rapour with the chef. Someone said to us they thought he was his son. Great to see a family running a great place to stay.Definitely will be back soon. One of our favourite places to stay in the area now.

Great hotel / bar with a good selection of local beers. Dog friendly and although we didn't eat on this occasion, the food we saw being served looked excellent.

I stayed here during the week for two nights to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks. I arrived late due to a sat nav issue but when I called to let them know I'd be later than the booking in time, they were very understanding and happy to stay open to get me checked in. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was great and the portion sizes were more than I could have eaten. For the price of the room, I found to be very good value, it was clean, warm and quiet. Would definitely come back here again.Great value for money

The best value for money hotel in the whole of the north of England. We were travelling down from Glasgow to Wales and needed to rest a little on the journey down. My fiancée saw this place and looked beautiful on the outside and the fireplace just made it feel so homely!Seriously friendly staff! A big massive thank you to Will, the customer service God! He worked night and day to make all the guests feel super welcome and hats off the the chef who cooked us an amazing breakfast! It was the thing of beauty!I have been so impressed I think I?ll book another stay and have a little more time to explore the area!Seriously good job guys! Thank you!Rooms: Massive, warm and spacious!

Perfect location if you?re doing the ingleborough walk. Service slow even when quiet. Hotel room was clean and basic, the heating was an issue as no thermostat so we were either freezing or boiling. Bed was ok however duvet cover was too small for the bed so we were fighting for covers. We didn?t sleep well at all. Bathroom ok, no wash products just hand wash in shower. Finishing touches should be better, the shelf on the bathroom is sloping so doesn?t actually hold anything. Breakfast was very limited. No continental apart from rice crispies or croissant, no fruit or yoghurts and hot menu was very limited. With more attention to detail it could be better. This is NOT a 5 star hotel. I would say 3 at most at the moment.

This is one of those lengthy reviews, which are sometimes necessary to explain a mixed experience. I've somehow come to be a 'Master Reviewer' for Google, and the vast majority of my reviews are positive, but occasionally when something is wrong, I think it's best to say so. Otherwise, what's the point? I always check the most recent and lowest scored reviews when booking somewhere to stay, and in this case, people need to know what to expect at the New Inn Hotel. Overall, this is a good hotel with many positive aspects - room size, decor, warmth, location etc. However, there's a real problem with service - ie, under-staffing, which is a really annoying modern trend. I get that staff are expensive, but when you have a double figures diners in your restaurant and the same in the bar, you need more than two staff! Don't get me wrong..they did well, especially the young woman on duty, but they need help! Maybe someone didn't show up, or they had someone off sick, but the result was waits of up to an hour for several diners on a Saturday night. Sorry, but you're making good money on food and bar sales, not to mention several residents, so you need to cater for your customers' needs. Not leave it to two young members of staff, who were clearly struggling. As mentioned earlier, this is a nice hotel, although there were one or two other items worth mentioning. Whilst it was a nice touch to have a bath, our bathroom was dirty on arrival. Also, whilst the room was a decent size, the TV was tiny, which might be an issue for those staying longer. Overall, this could have been a five star review, but don't scrimp on staff when you have good footfall, even out of season.Rooms: Nice room, great location, but woefully under-staffed..and I'm not the only one that thinks so. During the two meals we had there, it was a bit of a discussion point between several couples, who got some very slow service.Nearby activities: Ingleborough mountain, Gaping Gill, other caves etc..Food & drinks: My meal - gammon - was very poor.Noteworthy details: Happy to alter review if I get a response, especially about staffing levels.

We were at the New Inn last Friday and enjoyed a really great stay. Staff were friendly and attentive, room was large and comfortable, food and drink really good. Cooked breakfast was an unexpected bonus. And what amazing value. Location in the middle of the village couldn't be better for local walks (we did Ingleborough from here) and the whole experience was one we look forward to repeating as soon as we can. Well done everyone at The New Inn and thanks for making our stay so memorable.Rooms: Our room (15) was really spacious and comfortable. TV a tad on the small side ?Nearby activities: Great base for local walks: Gaping Gill, Trow Gill, Ingleborough etc.Good spot for cycling too.Food & drinks: Good selection of local ales.Evening meal menu was a bit limited but food was excellent.

Absolutely wonderful stay and such good value for money. The room was stunning and spacious, unfortunately the roll top bath hot tap wasn't working but the staff were very helpful and we were happy with the resolution. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and such an abundance of choice. Cant wait to stay with you again, thank you for a wonderful stay :)
