Had such a lovely meal with my family here for my birthday! All the dishes were delicious. I'd definitely recommend visiting for their Sunday roast Food & drinks: The food was delicious! Top dishes for me were the scallops starter and roast beef with the upgrade ?

Very disappointed in the Sunday LunchPotatoes were tough ! Couldn?t get my knife through the very hard skin , vegetable's bland and the gravy was very thin and tasteless. Beef was just ok but Yorkshire puddings were delicious , the desserts were both delicious but overall considering it is a Michelin star restaurant it was not up to the standard expected.Such a shame as the establishment itself is a wonderful place to visit.Good breakfast and we had a lovely weekend apart from the very disappointing lunch.Would go again but not for the Sunday lunch .

Dinner with a group of 4 and one of many visits. The rebuild quality is a real credit to owners & contractors, they have retained all the original style and details (inside & out) while making it better! The ambience at pre-dinner drinks in the bar with a roaring log fire, was perfect for our trip back to catch up with local friends (10/10). Food & wine great as always ? left ready to burst! Thanks

First visit here after lots of recommendations. The pub and restaurant are beautiful - a traditional pub married with the contemporary. However, we had Sunday roasts - sirloin. Given the Michelin star we expected something special - for £30. The meat was full of fat. The vegetables were bland. The gravy too thin to taste. The roast potatoes were nice and the Yorkshire pudding crispy. I?ve eaten Sunday lunch all over the place and this didn?t make the top 50. Dessert sounded nice but it was laced with star anise and not pleasant. By the time we added drinks we got a bill for £270 including £30 service charge. The service was okay but the waitresses did the basics - certainly not worth £30. Won?t be rushing back.

Wow, our second visit to this lovely place but our first since their fire. They've done a great job rebuilding, you really wouldn't know until you look through the book of photos showing the fire damage and the repair journey. Food was amazing, I even tried mussels for the first time. Staff are very knowledgeable about the food which is well sourced.

Michelin starred gastropub with options to stay over. Very informal fine dining (as we like it!) The rooms are lovely, spacious and our room had a good shower. Each room is individual so check what you are getting when booking. The lodge has a lounge for guests and you can have a drink (or two) before you go to dinner. Lots of food options and you can either order a tasting menu or go for a la carte. There's a very generous wine pairing.
