My husband took a guided ride earlier this week with Matt from Stage 1 Cycles in Hawes. Stage 1 Cycles was very service-oriented in advance - they communicated well and confirmed our logistics. Matt was an excellent guide - he showed up on time and was a safe, experienced, fit and fun guide. And he even agreed to ride with my husband, despite the rain and wind. I recommend Stage 1 Cycles for your Yorkshire Dales biking adventure.

My bike broke down in Hawes on Monday and the man in the shop (now on the main road) went out of his way to help - great service!

Excellent friendly cafe. Good value, fresh, good quality food. Recommended.

It?s a beautiful location, however the cafe inside Stage 1 cycles is very expensive and not good value for money, also the staff were quite noisy discussing their social life for everyone to hear whilst trying to enjoy a quiet Sunday morning sandwich. So a decrease in prices and increase in cup sizes is required. Disappointed

Only cafe and cake in Hawes. As a frequent cafe traveller we are always looking for a nice coffee and cake. Unbelievably we could not find any establishments in Hawes selling homemade looking cake. Had nearly given up before ginding this gem

A really nice cafe set within a mini museum. Been here twice now and will stop over at again on my two wheeled travels in the future.

Helen and Matt were mega helpful when I was looking for a new bike. After looking for a new steed for a while I went over to try some of their custom built up Ragley bikes and after deciding to go ahead with one they specced me up a bike to my budget and had it built in no time. Super friendly and knowledgeable the shop is a proper hidden gem would highly recommend

We went to the cafe part of the outlet for a light bite at lunch . It was quiet an distanced. Food was quick and good value. Will definitely be back and next time take a look round the museum.

Such a fabulous hidden cafe located in Hawes! They serve excellent coffee, and equally delicious food (teacakes are a must-try!). The staff are very kind, knowledgeable and warming, plus the range of available bike equipment to buy and the bike hire service are fantastic too.

Just stumbled upon this cafe whilst exploring the village. Coffee was lovely didn?t have food. But what can I say the young girl a very pretty strawberry blonde with a big smile and lovely people skills is an absolute credit this place. Well done!

We called in on a friday lunchtime and were not disappointed. The staff were all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a tuna pannini and a ham pannini together with coffees. Everything was delicious, very well presented and decent portion size. Very relaxed atmosphere and easy to park outside in the pay and display. This was not my first visit and I will definitely be back in when we are next in the area. Enjoyed looking at the bikes and cycle equipment that is for sale.
