My PT recommended that I come here get my gait analysis done when wanting to buy my first pair of running shoes. Billy was brilliant in explaining everything about the gait analysis and how it would help. As I am a neutral gait I was in a good position to be able to have a neutral shoe or a support shoe and Billy ordered one of each in for me to try. A week later I walked away with a pair of Saucony Guides. They are like running on marshmallows and the difference in my running since I have had them is unbelievable. Since purchasing them I?ve now run several 10k and a 16k! Thank you Billy for finding me the perfect running shoe.

Went there today to get new running shoes for my wife and myself and found brilliant customer support! Did the analysis on the treadmill and tried on several pairs of shoes. Very professional, would definitely recommend!

I visited your shop on 18th June for a pair of trainer shoes, referred by a podiatrist. I was served by a young man called Billy. I also came with a shopping list of requirements from the podiatrist. Billy was very attentive and helpful to all the requirements on my list. I tried on ALT FWD VIA, which I found very comfortable and I bought them. When I went to pay for them he told me that I get a 10% discount for being a podiatrist referral, even better.
Well done Billy, keep up the good work.

Popped into the Harrogate store this afternoon to look at some new shoes for 5k, 10k racing and tempo training. Andy helped me find a good set of shoes but also provided options I could try. As always, fab service and I now have some great fitting shoes for training and racing.

Not one to usually rate businesses but this one really deserves it. Walked in with no proper knowledge regarding running shoes or brands, but Corey was beyond helpful in selecting the right trainers for me and was extremely friendly in answering all of my questions. The testing treadmill is brilliant as well. Would highly recommend to any budding as well as experienced runners.

Went in today for a gait analysis and to look at some shoes as my boyfriend has a half marathon coming up. Have been before for myself and had really good experiences. However today was absolutely awful from start to finish. The guy acted as though we were an inconvenience being there. Didn?t ask if he wanted to try any trainers on after doing the analysis to see what he likes. Just walked straight back to his colleague and had a conversation with him. Clearly didn?t want to be there. Walked away without looking at any and not even sure his recommendation on type of shoe was correct either. Absolutely terrible experience.

Went in today for advice on the right running shoes. Was not expecting to be on a treadmill to guide me into running style. First class service and a young assistant that not only had great knowledge but a passion for making the customer happy. Well done , will definitely be back.

Popped in a few months ago to get some supportive running shoes so that I could increase my distance without aggravating a past injury. I got some great advice and have been able to double my distance with no issues at all. Thank you!

Lovely experience in the shop, we came in at 5 and even though they were only open for half and hour we managed to get everything we needed and were very attended too, not rushed at all !!
We didn?t get his name but we assumed he was the manager who served us, and he was absolutely brilliant - really knowledgeable and helped guide us in right direction.
Would recommend to a friend !!

Fantastic service from the guys in Harrogate last week. Great gait analysis, 4 options to try to support my feet, info of local running groups and even a cup of tea. I ended up buying a brand of trainers i had never previously heard of in half a size bigger than I usually go for so I simply never would have found or tried them buying online. Thanks again ?

A fantastic shop with fantastic staff. They honestly couldn?t be more helpful, I visited this weekend as they had held onto some new ASICS for me to try.
The shop was extremely busy , with two members of staff on and a stream of people all coming in at once to try on shoes and have their gait analysis done. I?ve honestly never seen the shop so busy!! Despite it being so busy the staff worked so hard to meet the questions and demands of every body. At no point did I feel rushed, I had my gait done whilst trying on 4/5 pairs of trainers, and left happy with the original pair they had held for me. From what I saw every single customer was dealt with as if they were the only customer in the shop and no one was rushed back out the door. The staff genuinely wanted to help everybody.
The staff are super informative and I left yet again with loads of useful tips going into my next training phase.
The shop is clearly run by people who have a passion for running and it shows, I have found myself popping in just to browse and have a chat.
Everyone in there is a credit to the company, the prices are also very competitive.
If you need anything running / fitness related and want to visit somewhere whereby you are never out under and pressure I wouldn?t look any further than Up & Running Harrogate!
