I have just been into the Harrogate store and the chap who served me couldn?t have been more rude or unhelpful if he tried! He placed the items (all of which were different sizes boxes) on the counter at all different angles. He could see that I was struggling to pick up the items and made absolutely no effort to straighten them or at least make them easy for me to pack! I dropped two items which very kindly someone picked up for me. He only said two things ?do you want batteries? and the cost of the bill. No please or thank you whatsoever! So rude and unhelpful. I certainly won?t buy anything if he is serving, I shall ask another member of staff. Appalling customer service.

Fantastic experience at The Works Harrogate. Had a vast range of the genre of books I was looking for. Served by a lovely colleague called Helen who was very helpful and really nice to talk to, with some good recommendations for books.

Think this the biggest Works store I've been too. There is a brilliant range of books and accessories for all ages. Prices are really good and the store is well laid out.

The works store in Harrogate, is not going to survive if its not changed back to stocking up on the items it used to have in it's previous location. Many customers have complained about this change, and the store is now a lot quieter to nil footfall, compared to what it used to be. Nor can the more popular items be ordered on the website. I fear this is the beginning of the end for the works. Not even worth the 1 star. I for one go elsewhere, what else can I do. And " no" it's not the pandemic that's caused this.

Got served by possibly the most miserable person on the planet, a woman named Ros. Won't be back in a hurry.
