We were looking forward to staying at the a Harrogate Inn following its refurbishment.
Upon arrival the very small car park was full and had to park in a disabled bay as was no where else - they said this was ok.
The room was very clean and tidy if not a little tired in places namely the bathroom which was a surprise given its recent overhaul. It was very noisy overnight given the draughty sash windows.
Breakfast the following morning was chaotic at best. Minimal staff, various items had run out ie bacon , we were advised that butter was out of stock?? A staple item like butter!
Tables dirty and piled with plates,
It could be so good but let down by various things. All in all. A good location but could do better.

Stunning pub, great location just at the bottom of the town and highstreet. 10min walk to Betty's and major shops. Rooms are beautiful, spacious and cosy. Breakfast buffet was good, however, they finish a little early at 9.30.
Service was OK, bit slow for that it wasn't busy, but they do offer self check-in desks.
Good car park right at the back.
Would recommend!
Walkability: 10 min from Betty's

Loved sunday afternoon drinks at The Harrogate, great service and beautiful outside patio area. Sunday lunch with their fabulous Yorkshire puddings looked amazing.

Stayed for our 5th wedding anniversary, I'd stayed at the Northallerton Inn so had an idea what to expect. The bar/restaurant is really nicely decorated, the features are stunning, the stained glass roof is a real centre piece, feels classic but modern. A great choice of beer and drinks, all taste fresh. The room we stayed in was a superior double and was really roomy, nice and comfy too with the settee in the room, bed also comfortable, you can tell the mattresses are all new following the refurb. We had lunch, fish finger burger and the soup. Breakfast the next day was delicious, would definitely recommend including this with your stay.

Beautiful hotel. Recent revamp, just a shame there is no Aircon due to an old building. No windows in the bathroom that open and no fan when using the shower.
Food was lovely, staff friendly, right in town, parking. Would stay again in the not so hot days! :)

We visited Harrogate for a long weekend. The hotel was nice. The rooms were very small but clean. The staff weren?t professional.
The location was excellent, the breakfast was nice and the beer garden was lovely

Great location right in the centre of Harrogate but not too noisy. Rooms are tired and need a good decorating but comfy. We took our dogs but didn't get the promised dog treats. Food was good. Lovely outdoor seating area

You possibly can?t get more central in Harrogate, that?s the positive. Car parking is stressful. Limited parking for a 90 bedroom establishment. Road parking can become expensive and watching the time(s) takes the joy out of the weekend. Breakfast was a bit of a trial. Large queue for the toast machines (domestic, not catering), hence breakdown before breakfast ended?!! A case of false economy. The room (superior double) was absolutely fine. The best shower screen seen in a hotel so far?.small door to reach shower settings to avoid that hot or cold shower entry?.nice move ICG. The safe was at floor level !! lying on the floor I could not reset or set the combination, then noticed that the safe was not fixed and so anyone could just put the safe under their arm and be away with any valuables?.. Overall a satisfactory couple of days, but I think we may be tempted to find an alternative hotel for our next visit?.. I am sure many will experience things differently and enjoy ?Barking George? the lively pub/ bistro within the property. On a nice summer evening the outdoor area is pretty decent and adds much to the overall atmosphere and experience.
