On a small break in Harrogate for a couple of days and my hearing aid stopped working. Popped along to Specsavers and was greeted by Brett (possibly Brent) who was so helpful. No new parts required but managed to get my hearing aid working again and was really helpful and full of advice. He is a real asset to the audiology department of Specsavers Harrogate.

Just went for eye test as I was due one after having several emails reminding me. Everything was ok till l said l didn?t want new glasses then the assistant became very unfriendly. Couldn?t wait to leave.

The two ladies who did my eye tests did an excellent job and communicated excellently before, during and after the tests. They were very knowledgeable and professional, but still approachable and reassuring. Great service, and especially considering that mine was an emergency short-notice check-up where I was initially quite worried.

I had a really disappointing experience here and won?t be returning. The customer service was poor ? I didn?t feel valued or listened to at any point. No one offered to help while I was choosing new frames, and when I was eventually served by Cathy, she was rude, standoffish, and came across as quite accusatory. She spoke to me in a condescending tone when I questioned the pricing, implying I should have expected the cost simply because I?d chosen designer frames.
The optician also seemed rushed, spoke very quickly, and didn?t explain the eye test or the outcomes until I asked. I didn?t feel reassured or informed at any stage of the appointment.
I was also left waiting for over 30 minutes after arriving before the eye test actually started, which added to the frustration.
Pricing wasn?t made clear ? the 2-for-1 offer seemed reasonable, but I wasn?t told in advance how much the anti-glare or Polaroid coatings would cost. When I asked whether NHS discount was available, I was met with a curt and dismissive response.
Overall, it was an unprofessional and unpleasant experience that left me feeling frustrated and undervalued.

Positives: Very professional eye test on 1st floor. I am also pleased with the glasses quality after collection.
Negatives: The sales staff on ground floor were obviously focussed on upselling and pressuring the customer to make quick and expensive purchase decisions. Insist on taking your time and do not let them force the pace.

1st visit for eye test - Unprofessional man, was heavy handed and rough whilst carrying eye test, kept pulling my eyelid harshly (i have an eyebrow piercing which is sensitive)
Fast forward to collecting glasses, male worker had no clue what he was doing when i requested it to be adjusted as it didnt sit right on my face, tried once and gave up. Had blurry vision since. Came back and after struggling to convince the staff, they eventually booked me for a 2nd eye test where it was confirmed i was given the wrong prescription.
I still have issues even with the 2nd prescription although slightly better, not strong enough.
Wont be going back again, they cant seem to get it right.

This is the very first time I've had problems after visiting specs savers for many years . The optician couldn't work the machinery for the eye test, she said it wasn't working properly, so I'm not entirely sure what was going on there.
However, I ended up with a faulty prescription.
After going back , I'm to receive a second eye test and the lady I saw regarding this problem , was very professional & efficient in trying to get things sorted out for me .....fast forward 2 & 1/2 weeks . ..I have had my second eye test and my prescription lenses have been altered to the correct strength .
Thank you specs savers for taking this matter seriously.

Appointment given by their staff member for 9am to collect new glasses, turned up on time to be told doesn?t open until 10am. Now sat in the rain waiting outside until the shop opens. Have proof of appointment written on receipt when purchased the glasses? interestingly that appointment isn?t on their system (no doubt deleted) when realised mistake made. Why they couldn?t have called to rearrange I do not know.
