was on a call for over 30 minutes as i have not been allowed access to my online banking. not in the slightest helpful and i am still unable to log onto my online banking, nothing had changed as a result of that phone call!

Went to pay cheque in at Santander today and it is closed for refurbishment until 18th December 2024. So I thought I would use the machine outside instead - that too is closed until 18th December ! I understand that they have to close for this type of work, however they clearly don?t understand that people still need access to services they can?t get online - ie, pay cheques in. The sign says nearest branch is either York or Leeds. Not everyone can get there and even if they could it?s a way to go just to pay in a cheque. Quite clearly they have not given this much thought! Thankfully my cheque wasn?t urgent and can wait, but I?m sure no everyone can. Poor planning by Santander I think.

Open only in the mornings, so that they can have no business customer appointments after 3. Most dishonest bank in the world. Can't shut your account because they will refuse to let you, they will tell you it's for security, the staff take money from customer accounts and then shout you off the line.

Arrived at branch at @ 15:03 to be told it closed at 3 by 2 managers stood by door. I had been requested to visit a branch to show ID. I wouldn't turn a customer away over 3 minutes, the banks close branch after branch and only open for a very short day. Disappointed.

Such rude bank staff, I had to go in-branch to open my student bank account as I didn?t have a mini current account and Hazam spoke so rudely to me and acted as if I was silly to be asking questions. Have now since opened a student account with HSBC instead and won?t be returning to Santander, which is a shame since they are such a good bank for students.

Absolutely awful branch with very unhelpful staff and bank manager. Santander sent my standing order out twice leaving me £840 out of pocket instead of £420. One of the payments was in a pending state for 48 hours. They took no responsibility for it and thought it was acceptable to just say I need to wait till it leaves the account and recall it from the company. They offered no solution or help whatsoever, worst banking experience I have ever had and will never bank with this appalling bank again.

Great staff of really helpful easy access plus one cash machine outside and three inside wheelchair access is very easy parking can be an issue but disabled parking is directly outside

The outside ATM is nearly always out of order and refusing cash deposits. Has been for years and they don't fix it.

Blocked online banking due to "irregular activity" which is understandable, but don't answer their phones when they instruct you to call. This has rendered the account and the funds in it unusable. If this continues it results in an inability to pay for child care, bills etc. Santander are putting their profits ahead of the wellbeing of their customers. Disgraceful.

Horrdenous, do NOT apply for a credit card with this antiquated bank you won't know what the credit limit will be until the card arrived so if your doing a balance transfer there's a good chance they won't have given you enough credit to cover it so the whole application is a massive waste of time, with a search on your credit file.
