A few months ago having had a doctors appointment I visited the pharmacy to pick up the prescription issued by my doctor. The pharmacy was incredibly busy with dozens of people waiting to pick up prescriptions. At this point the staff were under incredible pressure from customers unhappy at the waiting time. The staff members dealt with every person with patience, kindness and understanding and to be frank it was both impressive and inspiring to watch. I had been in the queue for about 20 minutes and with each minute my pain was worsening to the point where I became quite emotional and started tearing up in the queue. A lovely lady behind the desk clocked me came out and kindly took me into the consultation room, sat me on a chair and gave me a water. I was so relieved to be out of that queue and sat down it made the whole experience so much more bearable. After an administrative error on the part of my doctors whom had not sent through the prescription I finally left an hour later with my medication and humbled by the sheer kindness of the staff. They checked on me several times between customers while I sorted everything out and I genuinely couldn't have been more grateful at that moment. Thank you all involved :)

Had an appointment on Wednesday and prescription sent to this pharmacy....received a text on Friday saying it is ready to collect....drove 12 mile to collect on Monday late afternoon...to have the woman on the desk say it isn't something we stock ...we will have to order them in . ( small plaster like bandages for a deep cut )Offered me nothing in replacement .For a wound that needs dressing twice a day...this is unacceptable.Very poor customer service.AVOID .

I?ve found this pharmacy to be helpful, diligent and quick to respond to my requests. The staff are friendly, eager to resolve problems (I have to use SPINE codes for my meds as I work away and they always process them quickly).They would definitely be my preferred pharmacy if I lived in the area.

I started using this pharmacy because the lovely young lady what was at the horrendous Well pharmacy on Wetherby rd left and came here..Gracie is so pleasant,professional for her young years,helpful, and goes out of her way to help.She knew all the weekly people coming in at the Well Pharmacy and scripts were ready for collection- no waiting like it was once she left and i'm sure it's the same now at Day Lewis.I believe she will be a credit to your team and should be offered the opportunity to learn more and move up that ladder. I asked if i could get my meds delivered in the morning and Gracie asked but couldn't promise and they were delivered in the morning ,Delivery driver lovely too and it was very much appreciated.The shop is clean the only let down is the not answering of the phone and i've been told that isn't them ignoring you,it doesn't give a busy tone when they are on the phone,it just rings which is very frustrating and i think needs looking at.Thank you Gracie?

I had a prescription for lactose free aspirin. When I went to collect it the aspirin was not lactose free. They said the pharmacist did not have time to readall the leaflets and it should have said gastro resistant. Surely if a prescription says lactose free then the pharmacist should check this.Recently when my prescription was not ready they asked me to call back later. When I did they then said it was not in stock; surely they should have checked this first. 2 wasted journeys. I have now changed my chemist.

Be patient. They're struggling with staff shortages and are really doing their best which has been to give excellent service in the past. Allow a little extra time when ordering and always be kind! I'd hate to lose this chemist because people can't just have a little understanding.

The worst pharmacy service in my 55 years by a long stretch. I?m on a monthly repeat prescription for a while now and Day Lewis have been consistently inept at providing this very simple service. I?m on a dosette box, ordered by my doctor, yet this seems to be too much for Day Lewis to organise. Today I phoned for the second month running to ask for my medication as I hadn?t received the usual text from them to say they?re ready. Last month my partner went to collect them and was told by a member of staff, Hemma, that I?d been taken off the dosette boxes and my medication had been not ordered. My partner commented to me how rude, unhelpful and aggressive Hemma was in speaking to her. We eventually got the medications loose, though Hemma was reluctant to help. I let that go and expected it to be righted this month, however the same thing ( but worse) happened today. I spoke to Hemma on the phone and sure enough she was rude and unhelpful and put the phone down on me. Not only didn?t she sort out the problem but in a very aggressive manner told me that I?d been taken off the boxes and that no medication had been ordered and that it was my fault (!) as she?d tried to call me but I hadn?t replied ( no such phone call existed). Neither my doctor nor me has asked for my medication to stop or for the dosette boxes not to be used. It turns out that in January(!) Hemma had decided on her own to take me off the medication boxes and the medication without informing me! Quite why I don?t know. It?s worrying and frustrating that a member of pharmacy staff is not only able to do this leaving me with no medication but when I complained about that and asked for it to be put right she put the phone down on me. I had to speak to my doctors who knew nothing about it and are now having to set the whole system up again. Whenever I try to speak to Day Lewis about it they?re unaccountable and have never once made any attempt to apologise or sort out the problem. Utterly atrocious customer service and negligent to leave me without my medications or even informing me and blaming me to boot! AVOID!

Terrible service and negligent. A pharmacist decided without informing me or my GP to take me off my repeat monthly prescription of essential medications. When I complained to the pharmacist in question she put the phone down on me! Appalling and dangerously negligent.

Really helpful chemist - after a bad patch about 2 years ago they are now hugely improved. Rang to let me know my mum's medicine was ready even before the gp had called us! The text system works very well too. Not had any problems over the last year when times have been extremely challenging for them.

Re.the following....august 2020 and they seem to have got their act together with much quicker service, so changed stars from two to four.Someone needs to take this pharmacy in hand or else it will go downhill. I can't really fault the staff,they're usually quite helpful,although I think sometimes they more or less say what comes into their heads,often "we haven't got the prescription yet", when with a bit of pushing they'll find it in the system. It's a busy shop so you can't expect instant dispensing but 35 minutes is too long even though there were two pharmacists. They seem to be falling over themselves in the pharmacy area at the back and I think this is a great part of the problem.

Better than they used to be but still very poor. They frequently lose my prescription or take ages to find where they have put it. What is more frustrating is that it doesn't seem to bother them that their service is so slow and inefficient. There seems to be no sense of pride in what they do.

I moved from previous pharmacy due to slow service. Always polite and friendly speedy and efficient here. Most helpful. Oh and I may have touched the door handle but don?t seem to have covid as I wash my hands.
