Where to start.. I have difficult thick, damaged hair that has been in the wrong hands for some time.. bad experiences, with unsuitable hairdressers has made me somewhat nervous and happy to settle with mediocre. I attended the salon for what I thought was a quick patch test and scan of my hair to establish what the next appointment would consist of. I was wrong.. I was greeted with the biggest of smiles and the warmest of welcomes. Joey wanted to understand what I wanted from the next appointment.. he guided and advised me through colours, treatments and the long term goal. He listened and supported me in my decisions, so what was a (in my mind) going to be a 5 min conversation turned into coffee, in an environment I felt like I?d been in for years and having a full consultation with an individual who made me feel listened to, safe with and excited to see again. Joey oozes knowledge, enthusiasm and passion. His creative flare and genuineness is obvious within the first few minutes of meeting him. I returned for the first of my appointments and was greeted with the warmest of welcomes. We had a 4 hour appointment that felt as though it was a 20 minute chat! Joey made sure I was comfortable and didn?t need anything throughout the whole appointment, offering a range of refreshments, WiFi code and checked the room temperature was ok for me (I mean come on.. how more thoughtful can you be?) The treatment itself I am confident, thanks to Joey, will transform my hair. Joey makes you feel like an old friend and like a million and more dollars!! Joey.. you are an outstanding individual who I feel is a true ambassador for the industry and a genuinely fabulous person. I can?t thank you enough.. although I?m not telling everyone about you as you?ll never have availability for an appointment!!!! Thanks you so much. Lisa. XLisaServices: Shampoo & conditioning

Always have a really positive experience at Baroque. They go above and beyond, offers of neck and shoulder massage, drinks and snacks, offer hand massages.Ariana did my hair - she did a brilliant job, very happy! Had really nice time and lovely refreshed hair. Thanks very much!

Joey cut my hair. He was the sweetest and most professional hair dresser and gave me the nicest cut I?ve ever had. All the staff in the salon were absolutely lovely and very helpful. The salon itself is beautiful and clean. Joey also brought me a lovely complimentary drink and a brownie. Absolutely wonderful experience- thank you so much!!Service: Hairstyling

I visited this salon a couple of weeks ago. I was staying in Harrogate overnight and wanted to get my hair done for later that evening. I googled hairdressers in Harrogate and Baroque was listed. We rang a day before so quite last minute but the lady was really accomodating and managed to get me booked in which was really nice. The salon itself is very beautiful and clean and has a welcoming feeling. I liked the fact its seperated into different floors and the privacy it provides. The girl who did my hair (Ari i think her name was) was really nice and friendly and gave me this amazingggg hair wash and the massage chair just topped it off. I felt so relaxed and very looked after. The complimentary hand massage was divine and I think it is a great addition to have.My hair when the stylist had finished was beautiful and I really loved it. The complimentary drinks and cookie were much appreciated. All staff were very pleasant. I had a wash and blowdry and it was reasonably priced so an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this salon if you are just passing and in need of some hair tlc.Service: Hairstyling

Went to Baroque Harrogate?s salon for a free haircut offered from Facebook for what I believe was training purposes. Arrived promptly, but I had to take my 13 month old daughter as I am a single mum with no form of childcare when my mum is working. Upon my arrival I was greeted with a very rude hostess who didn?t even say hello, and then informed me that it was ?against their policy to have children in the salon? which I have never ever heard of from any other salons and was swiftly prompted out of the door! In my regular salon, I was able to get a full wash cut and blow dry and my hair curled, while my daughter (who was 4 months old the last time I was able to afford to get my hair cut!) sat on my knee and behaved beautifully the whole time.Extremely rude. Left me so distraught and embarrassed that I just went home and cried. I was really really looking forward to having the opportunity to give myself a treat and to make me feel confident with my appearance :(

My first hair cut was okay, but I had a section sticking out at the back. Asked Verity to address this and she explained that the layers had been cut across a curl. She said I needed my hair cutting every 6 weeks, even though it's long. It looked worse with every haircut, 18 weeks later I was £210 down and hated my hair. She yawned and looked really bored all though my last appointment. Very very disapointed.Service: Hairstyling

The senior stylist was hopelessly behind schedule resulting in her changing her mind about the style we had discussed and converting from restyle to trim half way through. They ran out of toner which meant a full 45 mins at the backwash whilst a junior tried to find it then was told to make do with an alternate mix. The resulting hair colour was very much darker than planned. I still waited another 15 minutes to be styled. She spent 25 minutes on me. The cut was so uneven that a friend took photos and I sent them to Baroque. They offered me a 15minute constation on a Friday lunchtime! No regard for my time or need for a restyle. It took another Harrogate Salon 45 minutes to try and rectify the damage: in fact they were so appalled they did not charge me! Baroque, on the other hand had charged me £180.00. I wrote a long email of complaint with photos but have not even have the courtesy of reply. The salon lacks management and respect for its customersServices: Hairstyling

Nice friendly professional hairdressers, best I have ever used I travel from west to north Yorkshire to use, you leave loving your hair as it cut and styled professionally and with care and attention to detail where they listen to exactly what you want, I have short hair so it needs extra detail and i receive this from Will who i love.I will never use another hair stylist again ...I highly recommend this shop its not condescending its relaxing as I'm really anxious around people.

Came in with split ends, bleached to death and dyed hair so bad it was breaking off when I touched it. I left with the most amazing healthy looking hair after it was all cut off.Never had a hair cut like this I honestly left the shop with a grin ear to ear!
