Use to be a automatic place for me and my family on the weekend but since the refit or maybe a takeover? It?s has become as plain and boring as can be, only menu item is the waffles now which is a massive disappointment as the variety on the past menu was amazing. Anyways very sad visit. Wish I could rewind time!

So good we went twice in 2 days for lunch and breakfast! Great food and service in a relaxed atmosphere.
Busy and on both visits there were people waiting for tables when we left, but we were never rushed to move on. Will be the first place we head to on our next visit to Harrogate.

Arriving at 3:40pm, we were told they closed at 4, but as we only wanted a coffee we decided that was fine. Eventually had our order taken, at 3:47, but it was undrinkable because the air was so thick with cleaning product that was all I could taste. We mentioned it, but just got a shrug and 'oh'.

Everything I've had in Baltsersens so far has been amazing. Customer service is brilliant! And the coffee is to die for!I would recommend this place to everybody.Indoor seating, and outdoor for when the sun is shining.

Delicious food, allowed changes to the standard options. As an American, I suggest you order your coffee extra hot unless you plan to drink it all quickly.

Absolutely loved our visit here. The pastries are amazing.
The staff are welcoming and friendly. The fact they welcome four legged friends was a huge bonus for us. The place was spotlessly clean and the food was well come hungry. The portions are generous. They don?t leave you hungry that?s for sure.

The warm cinnamon bun was one of the best, if not the best, I've ever tasted. And the sultanaboller was something to rave about. Visited again today and the comments above are still relevant. Plus the slice of carrot cake was huge.

Went there this afternoon for the second time (17th of March) and got sat down quickly. After that, we were left for over twenty minutes were no one came over to take our order or paid us any attention.This happened the first time we went to the cafe but the cafes saving grace was the food. We'd thought that when it happened the first time, it was just because it was busy and thought it was worth going back to. But no.What made it worse was that other people had been sat down after us and had there order taken before us. The waitress only came over after overhearing me say to my partner that we should go. I then found out, the item I had wanted had just sold out to another table and I just thought, there is no point staying.I won't be coming back again as the service is dreadful.
