Lovely place to stay, the staff were polite, helpful and friendly, the room was clean and tidy and the bed was big enough and comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. Not too far from the center of the town.

I stayed at Ascot House on a Simply Escape yoga/pilates break. My single room was tiny but perfectly formed, with everything I needed, sensibly laid out with no space wasted. I did find it very hot even in Feb, but the window opened & luckily there was a fan provided.I had an evening meal in the hotel & was very impressed with the quality of the food (have the knickerbocker glory, you will not regret it).The location is very handy near the convention centre and only a few minutes walk from town. There is a small car park and it?s about 20 mins on foot to the train station

Just had a lovely 3 night stay at this wonderful hotel. It's perfectly positioned to allow a 10 minute walk into central Harrogate, is very clean and the staff were very helpful.Would definitely stay again.

Actually if I could give less I would! For me communication is the first point of reference and unfortunately we didn?t get the chance to stay for the period we had booked due to Covid. I sent numerous emails and even called the property from home in Australia regarding the Covid situation (that was worldwide) and there was absolutely no correspondence from them at all. There was an automated email response that said due to Covid and government regulations they were closed BUT in no way did they contact me about the situation. Australia experienced Covid later than the UK and when they reopened we were not allowed or even able to travel because of flight restrictions by the government and health authorities. After having the all clear I tried several times again to contact and rebook to no response??when I finally received a response it was too bad they were open and ready so bad luck for us. I was not expecting to refunded the whole amount as we all know Covid financial gave the world challenges, however instead of my original 8 day booking we were only looking for 2-3 nights.Overall I?m disgusted by their attitude.

Very lovely little hotel, second visit and we'll definitely be back again.Just 10 minutes from the city centre so far enough out to be quiet but near enough for all of the amenities restaurants, shops, exhibition centre etc.Lovely staff and a fabulous breakfast.Rooms: Lovely and clean, very nicely decoratedFood & drinks: Fabulous breakfast

We wanted a small comfortable hotel for our wedding anniversary and so we chose Ascot House. What an amazing find. This gorgeous Victorian Hotel blew us away. Warm welcome from Claudia as we arrived, beautifully decorated throughout, and a stunning room with a kingsize bed and plenty of room around. Luxuary bedding, towels and bathrobes added to the personal touch. The breakfast was too was amazing. Well presented and perfectly cooked. It was served by Claudia who also brought us some champaign to celebrate our anniversary in style. We only travelled 24 miles to get there, but it would be the first call we make if every visiting Harrogate again. We absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a peaceful romantic getaway.

Lovely older style hotel in a quiet area of Harrogate. The bedrooms have modern furnishings, and were very comfortable. We had a cosy double but it was well appointed and there was plenty of room. Everything was clean and as we were at the back of the hotel, there was no noise from the road. Breakfast is cooked to order, and you can also request the usual continental options. We really enjoyed the cooked Yorkshire breakfasts. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and service at breakfast was very efficient! There is a nice quiet bar area past reception and you can ring a bell to request a drink up until 10pm. We had a friendly chap serve us a drink on a Saturday evening and had the bar to ourselves for a night cap. It's less than a 10 minute walk into the centre of Harrogate. There is also a Sainsbury's express and a few takeaways, cafes etc. on the same road. I would return again next time we visit Harrogate!

Second time we've stayed at this hotel. Really nice, small hotel, beautifully clean and lovely rooms (we stayed in the Turret room). About a 10 minute walk from the town centre with on site parking (although tight). Friendly welcome, very good service with an excellent breakfast. Note no evening meals offered. Highly recommended

Just stayed one night in a large single room. Everywhere was very clean. A perfect location for a visit to Harrogate and surrounding area. A excellent stay at a very reasonable price. Will certainly stay here again when next in Harrogate.

Stopped here a few times in the past and pleased to see it hadn't changed that much since we last stayed. A pleasant and cozy place to stay. Hopefully stay again sometime in the near future.
