I didn't eat here, just had a beer with my son after a long walk with the dog. Lovely friendly place with a small but decent selection of drinks

Great village pub. Prices on a par with other pubs in the area. Very friendly landlord and landlady and their daughter.

Fabulous little Community-owned pub in a beautiful part of the country. We called in for a few pints of delicious well-kept Real Ale this week whilst out walking from Muker. Nice and cosy plus friendly staff so we will definitely call again when in the stunning Swaledale.

A friendly and warm welcome. A good food menu, albeit I didn't eat on this occasion. Plenty of selection of beers. Recommended.

This is a really lovely countryside pub. The outside area is a great place to have a pint in the evening sun, and there?s a good variety of drinks. We went for dinner twice in a week - all the food was excellent, and decent value. The staff were all very friendly, and the atmosphere was nice and cosy inside. I would definitely come back!

Nice atmosphere, roaring fire, friendly staff and the best pie I have ever eaten (the steak & ale pie). What more could you want!

We stayed on our drive up north. The room was spacious & bed comfortable. We were in the room above the function room. We didn?t realise until the morning, so were a bit wary of the creaky floors.
The bar has an excellent atmosphere and we were lucky to get a table for dinner, it was that busy.
The pies are amazing & the lamb shank shepherds pie inspired. Breakfast was also delicious & the eggs Bene possibly the best I?ve had.
The village is lovely & the pub a perfect distance to take our dog on a walk to the Ure river along the circuit path.

A cosy, traditional pub, with fireplace, curious objects and ghost history! The service was excellent and food equally as good.

Bar tender did not know his whiskeys. And they did not carry all they had listed
