Very busy when visited , young barman who was ill prepared for the volume of people waiting to be served .
Noteworthy details: Visited the Globe theatre for a football personality night which was great but spoilt slightly by the small neanderthal element also present.

Dropped in for Saturday lunchFriendly staff. Well kept beers Timothy Taylors landlords and Black sheep bitter. Food good quality ,well prepared and generous portions. Highly recommended.

Excellent selection of real ales and a very warm welcome to tourists, lady serving was genuinely warm and pub has a lovely feel. Only downside the loos could do with a bit of tlcWalkability: Directly on the high street

Usual lager and fizzy cyder plus some very decent beers.Usually Old Peculiar and XB. Kept well and nice staff.Lots of people appreciating the food!Recommend.Food & drinks: One of the very few bars locally to get proper English beer.Old Peculiar and XB. Very well kept and served.Bar area has wonderful log fire.Warm and cosy.Great spot.

Had Sunday dinner nothing fresh packaged meet must have changed hands since we were there last (4 weeks ago ) because then it was all fresh ingredients and lovely. Very poor and expensive for frozen and packaged goods.
