With a maximum capacity of maybe a dozen folk in the main room you will be sat so close to others you will be compelled to chat and make company. With a discouragement of electronics you will find yourself deep in conversation in no time. This is rather a unique experience in 2023 but a welcome one.The beer is totally top notch and the prices very reasonable.I cannot recommend this pub enough. This is Britain as I imagine it used to be. It is not part of a chain. It does not serve generic plates of food. It does not have children dashing about. There is no TV, music or gambling machine. It is great beer, good company and conversation. Every village and town should have one. Brilliant!”
