Branch is hardly ever open. Useless - may as well shut it for the service it provides - probably what they are trying to justify by doing this.

Shocking customer service. Tried calling to book an appointment and the robot that responds just refers you to the website, when I looked at the website it asks to call to book an appointment! This meant I had to select the 'speak to an agent' option at wait 30mins to get through to someone, only to be told my local branch no longer offers the in-branch electronic transfer service for large money transfers! This means I had to go to a branch 40mins away which was a walk-in service as they don't offer appointments. DO NOT bank with HSBC if you value good service, I am now looking at changing my banking provider.

This isn't really a fault of the branch but how are you supposed to deposit a cheque that is larger than mobile banking will allow any time outside the 4 hour opening window. I remember this branch being open 9 to 5, 6 days per week and outside of these hours you could swipe your card to enter to access paying in machines.

Dreadful, dreadful telephone experience just trying to get through to my local branch. It took half an hour to get through to a foreign human who was not easy to understand. Still none the wiser. What good is it asking for my details and then saying it doesn?t recognise me in the system, when I am a new customer?I had to repeat to the automated voice lots of times the reason for my call. It didn?t understand.?
