Service was superb, everyone was extremely friendly. Fries were quite dry and similar to cheap McDonald's fries. However the chips which were the best I've had in a long time from a pub. Meal wise the pie could have been presented a lot better than we anticipated. Prawn pasta was also very tasty and is something I'd definitely recommend. Apart from the pie and fries, beautiful pub.

Booked a table for myself son and daughter in law who were visiting from Wiltshire. Well what can I say the food was well cooked and delicious,service was very good,and staff really friendly,all in all a very enjoyable evening.will be going back again.

Relaxed place with staff who are friendly and great service. Food is fresh and superbly served. Nice background music at a good level. Plenty of parking and seating inside with a range of bench and chairs. Been coming for years and will continue to do so. 5?recommended whole heartedly.

Staying in the local area we really fancied a proper Sunday lunch and spotted this pub had great reviews. I phoned to book around 11.45am and the earliest table for 2 was at 1.45pm - a good sign! When we arrived we were welcomed warmly and very well looked after by the staff and I believe the owner also. Drinks came out promptly and our beef roast dinners were fabulous. Often a pub Sunday lunch will have tough meat and cold, hard potatoes - especially at a later sitting - but here it was absolutely perfect. The beef was generously served, tender and fell apart on the fork, the potatoes were piping hot and perfectly done, a perfect Yorkshire pudding, a generous helping of seasonal veg (served on the side) and - best of all - tons of delicious, proper tasty gravy. All served within 15 mins of us sitting down and ordering.
We couldn't manage dessert but we saw them being brought to other tables and they looked incredible. We never felt at all rushed though the pub was really busy and we did get a check back on how our food was. All in all, a really lovely experience and I highly recommend this friendly, cosy pub.

We had an opportunity to book a birthday party here with 8 guests. The food was top-notch. Customer service was impeccable. The strange thing that I didn't understand was that it wasn't busy even on a Saturday dinner time. So if you are passing this way make sure to swing by. You won't be disappointed.

Tough week at work and wanted somewhere chilled and relaxed on a Friday night for food. We were welcomed immediately by Trudi and Chloe who I can honestly say delivered an outstanding friendly family service. Nothing was too much and their attention to detail outstanding. Food superb and just what we were wanting.
Husband had poachers chicken and I had the pork.
Cosy pub setting that just made me think of The Holiday even in June. Gorgeous atmosphere.
