The best Gluten and dairy free food I?ve had. So much to choose from and varied menu. Great knowledge from staff. We wish it was closer as we was just away on holiday and found it what a gem! Will visit again just for the pizza!!!

We were at La Piazza for our staff Christmas party here on Friday for 28 people. I had booked the function room so we could all be together but not feel so bad about being noisy around the other guests! The staff were really friendly, welcoming and accommodating; and we were booked straight in. We did take a pre-order earlier in the week to make it less hassle on the evening. The room was really lovely, plenty of space for everyone and really well laid out and decorated. All the food came out together, which compared to some other places we have been was great as we all got to eat at the same time! Portions are really generous and the price is more than fair. We had a wonderful evening and we weren?t rushed to leave for other bookings or made to feel like we were in the way. I would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to have a large party to visit La Piazza, genuinely could not fault them. Thank you especially to Poppy but to all of the staff for a great night!

Been visiting here since it first opened and last night was the first time we've been disappointed with food. starter was inedible as it was absolutely loaded with grease, told the waitress she agreed but it wasn't taken off our bill (it hadn't been eaten)
both had pasta dishes which were just tasteless, we told them all this when paying and no body was bothered. 2 courses out, eaten and paid in 45 minutes, almost as it it's now how many people they can rush through the door.
don't think we will be returning unfortunately

It has a baby changing/breast feeding room! Just what we needed today when out on a walk round campus. You can get Starbucks coffee here now too. Aesthetically lovely.

Absolutely fabulous meal with exceptional service. Our meal on Saturday night was delicious from beginning to end. The tomato garlic bread starter was really tasty, followed by the best linguini di mare I have ever had - packed with shell fish and utterly divine. My partner had tagliatelle pollo which she again described as the best she?d ever had previously. The service was faultless and very engaging and helpful. We have earmarked this restaurant as one we will return to again without a doubt!

Went into the restaurant at 1.30pm to have lunch with friends It was really busy but we were still looked after well The food was excellent I ate off the lunch menu the calamari was beautifully done and I had the pepperoni pizza which was good too My friend had the goats cheese salad and said it was delicious Our fellas both ad the seafood linguine and that was good too Would highly recommend the restaurant we have been a few times never disappointed Our friends said they would also visit again Staff are friendly and helpful ?? ???????? Thank you Dennis and his team ?

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant. The food was such good quality, and the portions were generous. The pizza is beautiful, not stodgy like some places. Prices were very reasonable, and the staff really make the place sparkle. They are so lovely, and entertaining.

We were visiting the Christmas markets and fancied an Italian nearby so we picked this one just a short walk from the main crowds we were seated straight away by the window lovely views watching people pass by all Christmassy .The menu has some regular good Italian choices albeit not extensive , We ordered drinks and shared a meatball starter which was delicious the sauce was as good as I?ve tasted in ischia Italy then a calzone and pepperoni pizza both nice and crispy and tasty we asked for a pomoddore sauce for the calzone and they dully obliged. We really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely come again when we are in York

Very pleasant personal service . I went in for a pre Carol service meal and I have a fair few food intolerances . They were happy to accommodate and made me feel welcome . Lovely old building , very close to the minster . The food was well presented , not overpriced and piping hot . I would happily return with family and friends .

Myself, my partner and 2 year old child recently visited la pizza antica during a day visit to york. The staff were wonderful helping set up a highchair, store our push chair and often stopped at our table to say hi to our little one and entertain her throughout the meal. We ate lunch from their set menu and were delighted at the varied selection of dishes. My partner had goats cheese starter and pizza pepperoni for main. I had the calamari starter and lasagne main while our little one ate off our plates and enjoyed a side of fries. The food was fresh, served quickly and was delicious. This meal was undoubtedly one of the best italian meals we have had in the UK. I would wholeheartedly recommend it. The restaurant itself was beautiful, quiet to say it was in a city center and calm. 10/10.
