A truely memorable evening at Tykes Restaurant, Sandburn Hall, for their Chefs Table experience.
We enjoyed a seven course menu of dishes that were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The menu showcased some of Yorkshires finest ingredients.
Every dish we tried was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the miso barbecue carrot. The unique flavours were unforgettable.
It was such a great experience for a foodie. The candle-lit bar against the indistrial show kitchen provided the perfect balance between fine dining and culinary entertainment. The restaurant staff and Head Chef were on hand to provide information about each dish. They were attentive, ensuring everything was perfect, without being overbearing. Their attention to detail made me feel like a VIP!
This was more than just a meal?it was a culinary experience.

Absolutely superb Sunday lunch, couldn?t fault it in any way but much more than that, it was tasty, presented exceptionally well and served by a team who did it with pride and perfection. All done in a great building with atmosphere. I know there is so much more to this place than just Tykes but that alone would give the initial visionary for the concept, Mike Hogg, so much pride in what his son James has achieved!! Just go and enjoy every minute!

We had an evening meal and breakfast here. The staff were excellent; attentive and sociable. We?d definitely recommend the Chicken option on the menu, the jus that it sits on has super concentrated flavour, amazing. The decor and atmosphere is really impressive too.

Our son lives nearby and we have been coming here infrequently for 15 years and have always looked forward to eating here. Sadly the menu has changed. The specials were always something to look forward to but they have disappeared. We chose the scallop starter but there was only one scallop,, Sadly this ge. is no more-

One of the best Sunday dinners I have had in a long time and such great value for money, £22 for 2 courses. Generous portions, amazing selection of fresh perfectly cooked vegetables. I do t usually like a yorkshire pudding but I am so glad I tried this one - Ioved it! 10/10 Service was excellent too, friendly, polite and attentive - couldn't fault it.

Had Tea here on Thursday night (5.00pm) and it was absolutely delicious!
They were excellent with our allergies and introlences.
The lady with striped trousers who served us was an absolute DELIGHT!
She really made the whole atmosphere and experience, she is an absolute ASSET and has such good contagious energy. She really is such a beautiful soul.
For us the staff are just as important as the food, because they are the ones that create the atmosphere and make you feel welcome and boy did she!
There was also another lady who was fabulous with our little dog and gave her treats and a drink and even made her feel like the little princess she is .
The food was delicious and very moorish and beautifully presented the chef was happy to sub parts of it out and adjust it to our liking and ditary requirements.
Bonus we got 10% of everything with staying at griffin lodge.
100% recommend.
On average it's about £20 plus per main dish. But it's worth it!

45 minutes late with the fireworks, overpriced stalls. Firework display only 13 minutes long, not even in time to the music as advertised. Would never attend again!!
