We booked a private caravan which was really good so cant comment on Haven owned ones. The site is generally kept clean, is pleasant and well maintained. Quite a walk to the beach if you are not mobile. The shop is well stocked unless you want something healthy, then forget it. We bought Haven Play passes which for a large family was alot of money. I wouldnt bother again because they are a rip off. We only managed to get one swimming session, every thing has to be booked weeks in advance to get anything at all. We went to the entertainment once, that was enough, couldnt face it again. So we paid over the odds for nothing really. Except for swimming everything is extra , generally £10 each and has to be booked. Talk about fleecing as much as they can from folks. Ok if you have one child perhaps, but not 4. We had a meal at the Lakehouse which was good, the staff were overworked, stressed but very pleasant so well done them. The food was good.I would stay here again but would say dont bother with the Play passes unless you love overcrowded swimming pools and know what you are doing weeks in advance. Haven give the impression you have to have the passes bought as soon as you get there, you dont, you can buy them there BUT you prob wont get anyswimming at all. Filey is a short drive away and a really excellent resort for the whole family.

We have always enjoyed our stay at primrose valley, plenty of things to do on site however, this year has got to be the worst for evening entertainment. We are highly disappointed as we have been coming for the last 10 years the entertainment has got worse over the years. When we first started coming the shows were excellent ie ABBA tribute, Jessi j, comidians this year was just the haven entertainers trying there best to make a show which was highly disappointing this was in the live lounge. we then decided to go into the show bar to see if the entertainment was better which again was disappointing they had a George ezra solo singer which bored me and the rest of the audience. I feel like they has been major cutbacks on the funding which Is having a major effect. Also the play passes have increased in price and the alcohol and soft drinks are expensive therfore if we visit again we may not purchase the passes as it is definitely not value for money.

Family holiday with two older teenagers. Overall we had a great week. Private rented caravan so can't comment on the Haven ones. Lovely well set our park which captures that holiday feeling. Really expensive for food and drink but to be expected, some good deals in mash and barrell but definitely more of a canteen experience. My husband and daughters did the target shooting and lovely guy worked in there. They also did the ariel climb and again staff welcoming, helpful and engaging. Lovely that there is an outdoor cimema area... be good if there was a movie schedule. Filey beach beautiful and easily accessible. Nearby Flamborough and Bridlington were lovely. My biggest gripes around the park is the public toilets. Totally understand that guests can be messy but for the week I was there at least half of the cubicle doors dont lock and often had no toilet paper. The toilets on Filey beach were in better condition! This is a safeguarding concern when children using the toilets and people able to walk in on them, also made queueing longer as people waited for a lockable toilet or waited for paper! Also every single time we found a table in the evening entertainment we had to clear and clean it Slow to collect glasses in and people frequently left their takeaway boxes etc on the table as there only seems to be one bin in the venue. Security always very visible in the evening venues but not at all intimidating or over bearing, made us all feel safe. The table service app is great! Been to Haven about 8 times and must say we struggled with the evening entertainment this time, it has been better. Would definitely return but cleanliness could be better!

We stayed in a silver caravan with a sitting area outside. The caravan was spotless and couldn?t have been any nicer. The lake house is the place to have a meal as it is a lot nicer than the mash and barrel. The food was amazing and the swimming facilities were very fun as it?s suitable for family?s. The entertainment on a night was very busy and every seat was taken so we never bothered to go in there again. The staff were all friendly and the activities were amazing like archery and shooting. The arcades are very good but I do recommend cashing in your tickets in before the last night of your stay.

I love Primrose Valley the area the beach the facilities but this was the issue. I booked to take my three grandchildren the first week of the school holidays and chose a silver caravan at a cost of nearly 900 pounds Monday to Friday. I paid the extra money to choose my own area as I like it down by the lakehouse (DO NOT FALL FOR THIS) On arrival I walked in to the most shabby dirty caravan I have ever been in. The doormat was absolutely filthy covered in dirt and hairs. The curtains had random tie backs here and there a filthy stained seating area , heavily stained bedroom carpet and the tiniest balcony you have ever seen with a tiny table and two chairs ( there were 4 of us.) The cutlery drawers were an absolute joke , one spoon, no teaspoons, three knives, two forks, no scissors, no knives to cut a sandwich nothing. I did my best not to look disappointed in front of the girls, we spent very little time in it. Watching your granddaughter eat cereal with a fork on day two was a joke. I went to reception, absolutely no interest whatsoever was I wanting a caravan with cushions and rugs the sarcastic receptionist replied. Later that evening after returning from the show I tried to chase more cutlery, no reply, tried next day no reply , no reply to park security either . Shutting help on reception in the main school holidays at 5 is unacceptable. I Gave up, we ate out for every meal. Anyway I came home and sent a detailed report to Haven I even enclosed images. You guessed absolutely fobbed off didn?t answer my points, not their fault, even welcomed me back. Haven get your act together, you?re robbing people. The staff are fantastic everywhere I went massive shame for the business and the future it never used to be like this.

Staff were friendly and polite, the van was clean and tidy, could do with more access to the beach, the only problem we had as a family was how loud the entertainment was.that loud it hurt our ears had to go to the mash and barrel for peace

Just returned, one night early, from our holiday in a gold caravan. We were in the new Juniper Court, a supposed quiet area of the park. However the park thought it was a good idea to have our main bedroom window a few feet from a noisy road. When we complained to Reception, after our first sleepless night, we were just told no one else had complained and it was only an access only road. This is the road the Scarborough bus goes up and down, the bin lorries, delivery trucks etc. Not quite the tranquil setting advertised. They offered to move us to the one available caravan on site, a silver caravan, but would not refund us the difference in price. We were told we should have paid the extra to choose our caravan location. When we had already paid £953 for a 4 night stay, you don't expect to have to pay extra to pick a caravan not next to a noisy road. I've stayed at Primrose Valley at least 3 times before and never had any problems like this. On arrival, we also noticed there weren't enough towels so went to Reception to ask for more. We were bluntly told they had run out and had to order some more, so to go back later in the week when they should have arrived. No apologies. This place has really gone downhill since our last visit and we will not return. Came home one night early as didn't seem any point having another sleepless night just to check out at 10am

Horrendous holiday came home 2 days early. We didn't receive the caravan we paid for. The showbar is disgusting stains on the seats and floor. The toilets are rank no soap in the dispensers and the hand dryers don't work. Staff young and not helpful they don't care. Some Security aggressive all in all the worst holiday ever will not be returning to that site or any of the havens sites again.

It was an amazing trip. Things have really improved. Great holiday start to finish. We loved the splash place, great slides and fun things to do. Facilities and parks have improved too. A lovely place to go as a family.

Stayed at haven parks for years never had a problem, first and last time staying at this one or any of them for that matter first of all payed for a signature lakeside view caravan didn't get one only got told less then 24 hours before holiday basically tough nothing they could do this breaking there own t&c's and the contract between us. Having no choice we gave it a try (wish we hadn't) if anyone is there or thinking of going keep an eye out for this member of the security team very aggressive and also unwanted touching of my son who is still a minor which makes it worse but regardless should this man be putting a finger on any guests at the park unless the are been aggressive or disruptive ( which i can assure you we weren't) be warned stay clear. Refused to give his name or ID number sia badge not on show think he had it turned round reported to his manager not interested told to report to reception in the morning absolutely disgusting.

The caravan site is the best we have been to. Got everything you would want on the site and off the site..scenery is amazing. The onside facilities are brilliant the caravan we has was excellent with the sea views. Easy access to the beach and if you don't want to drive the bus bus to Filey Scarborough and Bridlington gets you there at good prices. Very friendly staff and security team are excellent

Lovely place with beach access. There?s also a bus that goes to Bridlington that stops inside the camp. One thing I would say is take your own pillows if you can. Huge camp - good family entertainment

Went as a family group of 3 adults and an infant. Cannot fault our stay. Site was so clean and tidy as was our caravan. Accomodation much better than expected. We were situated on Tern. Any issues which we came across with the caravan were readily sorted promptly and professionally on the same day as reported via phone to reception. Nothing to spoil our time on site at all. Site staff from reception as well as accomodation, maintenance, cleaning squad, retail, entertainment and food venues were spot on The coin arcade amused out little one and the staff were helpful and supportive with sorting those ticket exchanges.Even glow shop staff went above and beyond by ensuring our infants enjoyment of her glow toy. Special mention to Joshua at the Lakeside Dining venue. He was prompt to open at 11 am as advertised on Thursday. Fact that he was alone initially with tills that wernt functioning due to delays beyond his control did not phase him at all. He remained curteous humourous and ensured we got our hot drinks regardless of fact that his coffee machine was also on the blink. He dealt with comments from another staff team member professionally. He got his priorities spot on! Hope Joshua and other team members are appreciated for their worth as they all came together to support each other with a smile.

Lovely site. Lots to do. Caravan was spotless. Decent local bus to local resorts of Scarbs, Filey etc Bit rowdy on a night but our 'van was well away from the main entertainments so no issues. Would go back but get a 'van closer to the front so we could hop on and off the beach and the buses easier.

First visit however we won?t be returning for multiple reasons. Booked PV purely for the adventure pool and it was shut the entire time we were there due to the boiler going up it. When I complained I got a snotty response saying sorry you feel that way but we did move the bookings to the lake house pool (I know that, but it was freezing cold to the point my child?s lips went blue and we had to leave) Our van was lovely (paid £90 to choose it) although had to get the cleaners back as the duvet was filthy. The food on site was ok, pre ordered Slim Chickens for click and collect and they hadn?t even started it when we arrived to pick up. The chips were cold and the chicken was lukewarm. We really liked the Filey area so will be back to another site, just not PV.
