Lovely bacon sandwiches, great options for food and drinks. Friendly owner. The seating and decor could really do with some upkeep hence the 4*s.

Great stop-off on the way into Scarborough in the morning. Nice hot cup of tea with a toasted currant teacake and a view of all the ducks and geese.
Parking the car can be a bit erratic as the geese tend to sit in the car park. There is duck food available from the cafe to feed the geese and ducks.

Always a great day out in this hidden gem behind B&Q. Sunday morning bacon n sausage butties. Lady serving was lovely to chat with, really friendly and outgoing.
Love this place.

A nice little cafe at the bottom of the mount. Food smelt good and I wish I'd had breakfast there instead, and will next time. Plenty of drinks if you're hiking up the mount or walking around the mere or both (including hot drinks and snacks)! There is some outside seating and one toilet, although the outside seating was sectioned off.

The cafe sells pricey tea and coffee. There is a toilet (key upon request) but there's no light and no door lock. They also sell duck/goose/Swan food for £1 a bag.

Due to the large number of geese it is not very clean and dangerous for children. the geese were sitting in the middle of the parking and didn't bother to move. in the future, if you park farthest from the pond, do not feed the geese from the car!!! you encourage the whole herd to sit all over the parking !

Called at the mere cafe with some biker friends for a cuppa stop. We got an assortment of drinks from Bovril ( £2.50 ) to chocohorlicks ( £4.00 ). It was ok but for the price it needed to be amazing . Same for the food . Chips £2.70 and Cheesy chips £4.50. Cheese Burger £4.50 so I tried the cheese burger with onions and BBQ sauce . Wish I hadn't . I had to squint to see the sauce among the pile of charcoal ... sorry onions. So BBQ sauce was reapplied to hide the burnt taste mixed in with the bit of cheese on it. We had a chill out . Used the loo and parted ways. Lovely area around the mere with loads of wildlife but if your on a bike the car park is awful with the gravel so beware . I will stick to the prices at the cafe on top of the mount . At least it's edible.

Let?s get it straight, if you are coming here just to sit in your caravan all day then it?s awesome, If you want to venture outside, DO NOT COME HERE. The facilities on site are dire, one of the worst arcades I?ve been to, the food in the bar is terrible, and your in the middle of no where with withernsea being the only option if you don?t want to travel far. The caravan/lodge we stayed in was the only saving grace, oh, and withernsea has a decent takeaway, I?d massively advice paying an extra 100 quid and looking further up the east coast
