Great food and service.
Very friendly staff.
Good variety for dinner and some lovely specials of the day. We chose from the specials and standard menu and all were great. Scallops with black pudding starter special and the dresses crab main special, were both delicious. As were the fish and chips, scampi.

A cut above pub food, very friendly staff, good drink selection, good idea to pre book if you want food at the weekend. Don?t come here if you?re in a hurry. There?s a small car park round the back and street parking. Good sized bar area too

Had a fantastic meal, all meals had good quality ingredients and good portions sizes. Our group was made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this pub and will return when we are back in the area.

Visited the Old Black Bull for Sunday lunch with family. It's everything I would look for in a pub for this occasion. Friendly, cosy, fire in the fireplace, great range of drinks including a well kept range of beers.
The food was excellent, exactly as hoped, and generous and we enjoyed it, left feeling very satisfied.
Not the cheapest Sunday roast but so good that it represents good value, I hope to visit again.

What a lovely traditional Yorkshire pub! The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing!
We took my grandad to this pub in which he hadn?t been for over 50 years! He loved every minute of it!
