Not very welcoming. The barman was not particularly friendly. The Sam Smiths Organic Lager is normally a favourite of mine but didn't taste 'right' here. The rules regarding mobile phone use are everywhere. I'm from Haxby (70s/80s) and remember this pub in better times.

The Tiger lnn is a traditional two roomed village pub. It is a Sam Smith pub, so there is the usual range of Sam Smith's beer, including the brewery bitter on hand pumps. As it's Sam Smith's pub, there are the usual rules no laptops, no mobile phones, and no music. Dogs are not allowed in the pub.

It's okay! Good to go for a quick cheap pint. Too many rules for me at a Sam Smith's pub. This one clearly needs some tlc, the toilets are minging, and the whole place needs a lick of pain. Lady who served us was very pleasant so no complaints there.

Very good selection of Sam Smiths beers at reasonable prices, but no TV, no mobile phones/tablets, and not much atmosphere.

Need more competent bar staff at this establishment. The barman mike didn?t have a clue on what customer service is. Struggled with the basics of serving and lacked even the basics of communication when serving me and my partner. Worst service we have ever encountered, would advise a training course.

What a BIZARRE experience! Went in at 19:50 (so before the 9pm cut off for being ID?d? we?re 22 for context) and tried to order 2 cokes (we were driving), to be rudely met with ?no under 18s allowed? when we didn?t have our IDs? to prove we can drink 2 cokes?! If this was after 9pm I would completely understand but given it was not even 8pm and we were ordering non-alcoholic drinks, and most importantly, are 22 (!!!!), it was truly BIZARRE! Never experienced such a weird response for ordering 2 cokes. And before anyone says Think 25, we are aware we would need to be ID?d for alcoholic drinks, but not for non-alcoholic ones. Safe to say Tiger Inn won?t be our go to again!

Really liked this pub even after being told off for using my phone , the beer was well worth the visit, and nice to find a pub selling beer at realistic prices.
