We usually have takeaway from Millers, but my daughter has been desperately wanting to eat in, so we booked for us to eat in on Friday as a treat. We were greeted with a smile, the server Jon was so friendly, he went out of his way to make my daughter smile. We had a lovely table, everything was presented clean/tidy. When the food came it was presented lovely, it was so fresh and absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely eat in more often and I have to say our server Jon, really made us want to return, he really did go out of his way to make sure we felt valued and welcome. Thank you Millers, we will be back :) x

Great place for GF fish and chips on Thursday. Unfortunately the chips we were served were completely undercooked. Hopefully that's a one off as normally food is good.

We booked a table here while staying nearby, based on a recommendation from some friends. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our table straight away. The waitress was very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was very homely and relaxed even though the place was extremely busy. Our fish and chips were delicious.
The service was extremely efficient and the staff were all working so hard to keep everything running smoothly.
We would definitely recommend anyone to come here and we will be returning as soon as possible.

We have been here a few times and have never been disappointed but this time . My dad ordered a large fish but the size was not Far off from mine and mine was a regular. The other thing I noticed was my chips were a bit greasy. But the rest of it was very nice we really enjoyed it ? .

What can I say? These were the nicest fish and chips my partner and I have ever had and we know that?s a very big statement to make. The chips were sooo tasty and the fish was amazing, they weren?t greasy at all. I was starving so I ordered chicken bites too and they actually tasted like chicken!! The curry sauce - no words, just so good. The service was great and we didn?t have to wait long. Will be back xx

Fish and chips , scraps with a tea. Had to wait a while for them. Didn't enjoy. Sloppy batter on fish, chips where hard. Scraps small and cooked too long. Tea was red hot. Guy who served me was friendly. Loads of kids delivering coming in and out. 2 Benches to sit outside on. I wouldn't recommend and if in area I'd have a cuppa or soft drink but definitely not the fish, chips or scraps.

Overall a positive experience, the food was nice, portions were a good size. There was a small seating area in the back which we sat in, and what topped this from a 4 star to 5 star was the server, who was very personable and charming - I forget his name but believe he is a teacher in his day job from what he said. He made the experience worthwhile.

What a gem of a place! We travelled here from Somerset 3 years ago, and stumbled across this amazing chippy.. 3 years later and visiting York again, we made sure this was a place to revisit. We have not been disappointed, the best fish and chips in the land! Everything perfect, cleanliness, service, reasonably priced. Wonderful ??

We had th emills chicken tenders. And it is without doubt the best I?ve ever had juicy tenders and crispy. I hate Gerkins some how made them taste good. The chips were crispy and soft and seasoned well. Home made purple coleslaw with hint of lemon was great. New business with some small ordering teething problems but asked where our food was ticket hadn?t gone through. Was quickly and efficiently solved within a few minutes and an apology beer. Food was more than worth earth will deffo be back
