Camped her whilst walking the coast to coast and couldn?t have been happier with any aspect of our stay. the owner Wolfgang was extremely welcoming and had me along with the other 5 guests completely entranced by his fascinating stories and hilarious jokes. If anyone is in the Chopgate area this is a most visit. the Food was amazing as was the german beer. Had me ready for my next day of the coast to coast and Wolfgang offered his advice on a route back onto the trail. I honestly have nothing negative to say about my time and the Buck Inn

The food here is lovely as is the welcome. They also have a great range of German beers. If you fancy staying over night, they have rooms at great rates and if you like to be a bit more rustic, they have a camping field around the back, with amazing views.

Arrived for Sunday lunch.
The barman was polite and friendly enough.
We both ordered the rack of lamb?.it was probably the worst Sunday dinner we have ever had!
The lamb was nearly all fat, the veg was undercooked and tasteless and the tiny Yorkshire pudding was burnt to a crisp.
Not a good experience!

A lovely old pub owned and managed by a lovely friendly and helpful couple, Wolfgang and Helen. It was great to have a German beer and German food after couple weeks of English pub food. Wolfgang picks and and drops off C2C walkers, which eliminated walking along a narrow street with some traffic. We really enjoyed the service, the dinner and breakfast.

Went here on Tuesday evening. Seemed a bit strange to find a english pub on the Yorkshire Moors that does German Food and beer.
Wife had the Goulash, which was very nice, I had the ladt Lamb rump, which was excellent. Generous portions and very reasonably priced.
I did not have any German beer.

Beautiful food served by friendly staff who are very knowledgeable of the local area, The Buck inn is one of my favourite places, yet to stay over but it's on my to do list. Sitting enjoying a coffee out the front whilst watching the bikers go by is a must!

Camped here at the weekend.
The food and the welcome was first class, Wolfgang was an excellent host and nothing was too much.
The only downside was lack of hot water for those that was camping. The camping field was clean.
If we had hot water to shower then this would of been a 5* review.

Had a fantastic German lunch. Home made spatzle and Bavarian goulash. Proper sauerkraut and red cabbage.
Real German beer from Germany, not brewed in the UK.
Service was great. Good menu choice both English and Geman.

Great welcoming hosts. Wolfgang has a great sense of humour. Service is relaxed, food is excellent.They did all they could to help us get our wet gear dry on our coast to coast cycle. Provided safe storage for the mountain bikes as well.Really good choice of German beers.

Had a pub stop over in our van, Beautiful Food and German Beers.Had a Beautiful Full English Breakfast with quality ingredients the next day.Looking forward to didn't stay in Hotel so can't comment on rooms.Food & drinks: Quality food,generous portions.

Dinner was ok and stuff was friendly. But our room was a desaster! Furniture has seen better days , wifi was non exsisting. Bathroom was very moldy and dirty! For the the high price a complete no go!!!
